Meh, I don't think it's pricey at all. I don't compare it in terms of $perGB, I value the drastic decrease in load times, caching, durability + heat reduction, etc.
It's like comparing a thumb drive to a standard HDD (or even external) back in 2005/6. No one gave a shit that it was way more expensive storage-wise, that wasn't the point of it.

I remember the first person I knew who had a Gig of storage space. It was this artsy friend of mine who used the space to store hours of wav files he recorded from his electronic keyboard. It cost him about two grand and even then, I was fairly certain he was making up the word "Gigabite" just to fuck with us. This was like... 1993/4-ish. :lol: Kids these days.
