Survivability on Alysrazor Wednesday - abecx - 08-28-2011
What these numbers mean:
Shows how long each player survived the boss fights. A score of 100% is until the end of the fight, defined as when the logger releases or the last damage done event on the boss. Also, it only counts the first death within a certain fight, so if you died on 20% and 50%, only the first one is shown. The last column shows the average survivability score, higher is better.
We should all be doing 90% or higher

Where did you get this? I can't find numbers that match this anywhere. You're saying I was only up for 2/3 of any given attempt. That night was bad for me, but not THAT bad.

Looking at this, only three people hit your 95% mark. TBH, I don't know if that's a reasonable expectation in practice - just based on the way this thing calculates. I mean, all the time we'll call a wipe and half of us will die and fly back only to find a handfull of yahoos in there flying around like idiots. The last person to die is usually an asshole, not a hero.

Not really. I'm showing I had 86.8%. Which is still pretty terrible. But even that puts me above like half of the raid.

He's not doing this to call anyone out. It's the same as linking damage take by lava spew or wahtever. Abe is aware that those numbers aren't everything, some people may die instantly when its called wipe while others try to survive forever. The only reason he's linking this is to get people to think about what they did wrong, or maybe if they didn't realize they were dying often etc. In addition, many people's deaths, Ragette's in particular, were due to things out of their control. I mentioned Ragette because he died many times to someone on left side missing their interupt.
TL;DR Take this shit with a grain of salt. You don't need to defend yourself, he's not calling anyone out, just look at your number and consider why it may be low, be it if you die early when you know it's a wipe, die to someone else's fuck up, or jut happen to make alot of mistakes.

Yeah, I also don't know where Abe got those numbers, we were discussing two different logs last week and neither of those looked like Abe's numbers.
We had very few people on the 90's range, most of them on the 80's and lowest were like 5 ppl in the 70's range.

It is a valuable statistic. But it doesn't help anyone at all if it's incorrect.

Haha. I found the numbers. This is the survivability from attempt number 7 out of 13. The nightly average is probably more helpful than one attempt. Those numbers can be found via my link.
