Lawlers New Ride - lawlerbation the hardcore squatter - 10-24-2011 I am looking into getting a vehicle for around $4,000-5,000. I am currently looking into 91 ford mustang gt 944 porche 1986(has a turbo WEOW) gsxr 600 2007 Any other suggestions for cheap yet fast manual transmission vehicles? I am going to go with the assumption either my current car will break before I gather enough funds to actually make a purchase or it will live forever. I might be able to manage this with severe budgeting and probably a small loan within 4 months. Any one have any suggestions? Comments and queries welcome as always! Re: Lawlers New Ride - Crazy Diana - 10-24-2011 get a harley Re: Lawlers New Ride - abecx - 10-24-2011 fox body mustangs are complete shit. $4000-$5000 can get you a car that will last more than 10k miles. Dont get a used ass old turbo car. The cars you have on your list probably wont last more than 20k miles without a fair amount of money. Dont get a bike. If you want a sports car, you can get a 99+ Mustang GT for that price range. You should get something thats not going to be a money sink. Re: Lawlers New Ride - Firecrest - 10-24-2011 With your budget, you should try to get as new a car as possible. The first two cars you listed are inevitably going to require extensive maintenance to keep them running and won't be reliable at all. It sucks waking up every morning and crossing your fingers as you turn the key. On top of that, you want a car that is cheap to fix. Exotic cars require exotic parts. Seriously, at 4-5k, find yourself a run of the mill Honda, Ford or Nissan. Get as late model as you can go. I forget where you live, but if a motorcycle can be used year round, go for that. You can get a nice bike at that price. Gas/Maint/insurance is dirt cheap. And if you already have a junker car on the side for bad weather days, you're set. Re: Lawlers New Ride - Riinuka - 10-24-2011 He delivers pizza. Unless he plans to keep using the current ride for that, or trying to deliver on a bike.. lol Re: Lawlers New Ride - Firecrest - 10-24-2011 Valid point. Didn't think about that. Re: Lawlers New Ride - mininolan - 10-24-2011 I found the delivery truck for you Re: Lawlers New Ride - Bläckup - 10-24-2011 You could probably get that truck and still have money left over for hookers. Re: Lawlers New Ride - lawlerbation the hardcore squatter - 10-24-2011 So fyi 1991 mustang gt coupe is about $2000 for a decent condition, so for 4grand I could easily get either a mint condition or a replaced engine. Honestly I am looking for a budget fun car/bike. I am so tired of putting along in my '88 camry I need a change of pace. I have a feeling that with some maintenance the camry will last another 30-50k miles. Should put me around 7-9 months before I have to replace my delivery vehicle(hopefully). Any suggestions are appreciated! btw 95 z28 look fucking retarded |
