Also after they let illidain out he absorbed the skull of guldan and used it to defeat a bunch of bad guys they were fighting. They get pissed at him for useing the skull of guldan......without it they would of died........ come on wth. They treat illidain like garbage. he just saved them useing a little dark magic, and because of that they bann him again. What jerks. Illidain should of let them die and not save them at all, but he saved them anyway. Cause illidain is the nicest person ever. And so now illidan left but is chased after by some crazy bat who was his jailer for 10000 years.......doing who knows what to him.......... ( my thoughts on this are more perverted. single woman with no man chasing after the man she was guarding? what was she doing all that time for you know..) and because he is chased after like this he is forced to make a bunch of deals with some shaddy people, and he tries to get away from his demon overlords eventually and even fights against them in the burning crusade. Yet we still kill him, instead of teaming up with him. All we would of had to do to get illidan to join the good guys is say hey illidain tyrande wants to talk to you. Illidan "Yes tyrand my love, ill do anything for you." Tyrand "Illidain can you please serve me and help out the alliance even though i treat you like garbage?" "Yes my love of course ill join you and fight for the alliance!" Illidain is good guy again. End of story.

The way that was speculated for a possible Illidan return was if they introduced the Demon-Hunter class. It would be similar to deathknights, in that your starting zone would be based of a time period in the past. The idea was basically that you as the player are a Demon-Hunter training at the Temple of Karabor. The theme of this starting zone is learning to control your inner demon. The culmination of the starting quests is where Illidan himself is unable to supress his inner demon any longer, and is split into his mortal half, and his demonic half, and his two sides do battle, with the demonic half emerging victorious, and you and the rest of the demon hunters escape with a nearly dead mortal Illidan leaving the Black Temple to his demonic spirit. The time when you flee would be right before the events of BC when players raid the black temple and destroy Illidan's demon there.
Now that was just speculation, and it's a hell of a fucking stretch, but an interesting concept nonetheless.
