DKP in 4.3 - Firecrest - 11-28-2011

I am currently planning on resetting all DKP values to 0 beginning in 4.3.

In the past, we've done a DKP normalization where we reduce everyone's DKP to an average of roughly 100. However, with the guild transfer, everyone's name changes add a layer of complexity that I'm not really able to dedicate the time to sort out right now. Normalization takes an hour or two just on its own. Working in the name changes would take me half a day.

You will note that I lose out on this proposition more than anyone. So, while I don't feel there's room for anyone to think they have more reason to bitch about it than I do, I'd like to welcome constructive feedback in this thread.

As a point of clarification, we will simply use "high roll wins" to break ties until DKP amounts become more diverse. This is actually how I've always broken ties in the past. There will just be a lot of it for a little while.

Don't worry. I always keep a back up for a couple months. I just start a new table and hide the old one from view. It'll all still be there for awhile yet.
