Meta-Time Strategy Game (MTS), first of its kind. Uses an incredibly sophisticated game engine to handle parallel universes, time shifts, and even the grandfather paradox. Holy. Shit. hock:

makes my brain hurt.

makes me wonder why you dont just go a fuck load back in time and do different things besides fight meaningless battles...
i mean honestly if you had time dont you think the first thing you would do would be create an additional time traveling device then go back in time through the original one and destroy the first 1 so your the only 1 with a time machine and then wreak havoc on any remaining opposition?
but ya know they are just game designers building a game on a path instead of embracing the true awesomeness of time travel so fuckem

There is a resource in the game called Chrono Energy. The further back in time you go, the more energy it takes to issue commands and perform various actions in the past/future. Observing different times costs nothing but issuing orders to units takes larger and larger amounts of resources based on how far you went. Going more than 8 minutes back or ahead in time is impossible within the rules of the game world.

But if I go back in time, why am I still missing chrono energy?
J/K this looks incredible. Hopefully their models get some shine, though.

8 minutes in game time or real time? because 8 minutes in realtime could be a century in game time...

8 minutes in real time. The way they have it set up...if you see that bar in the middle with different colored waves...those constantly approach the "present". Well each wave is similar to an instantiation, where the events that occurred in the past do not "take effect" until that blip in time. The time-line is 8 minutes long, with the "present" being at like the 6 minute mark I believe. So you have 6 minutes worth of usable time to work with in the past and two minutes in the future. In the case of a paradox, such as a unit being built by a factory, that unit going in the past, and destroying the factory before it was built, the unit would instantiate at each interval of time waves. This would happen roughly once per minute for six minutes, in which case the game engine would use an algorithm of some sort to determine which instance of time the unit is stuck in. Bitchin' stuff.

Fucking headsplosion...
How can you possibly hope to plan strategy when niggers can just pop out of thin time and eat you?
Do want...

Well that same UI bar in the middle also shows where your opponent currently is in time. So you can technically jump to the same spot yourself, or even somewhat before, in order to prepare for his attack, which is also in the past. The strategy is using your Chrono Energy wisely. There's only so much you can "undo" or "plan for" before you're stuck with the results. You need to know how to pick your battles. Sometimes a loss in the past won't totally fuck you over in the present, so you may just let it slide.
