It is amazing! It isn't as large of a jump from Oblivion as Oblivion was from Morrowind, but it offers another few hundred hours of TES game-play in a new setting with an upgraded engine, I don't know how that can't be worth it?
It is an entirely single player game with simple DRM and is only like a 5-6 GB download.
The game does have a lot of bugs, as does every Bethesda game at launch that I can recall. I'm sure there will be tons of DLC and patches and GOTY editions and shit, so no rush in playing the game especially if you want a more polished version.
