I'm looking to rent one, anyone know of any decent hosts? (Might end up just hosting it on a box myself)

ps, its worth mentioning that l4d2 places a huge demand on servers, so might be rather expensive

you're joking yes?
I decided to host my own on my laptop, the biggest problem I have is when westcoasters and africans connecting with a 150-250~ms ping. Everyone else gets pings from 20-80ms. so at this point my only incentive to pay is to reduce that lag discrepancy which is still kind of a thing to consider, playing with 250ms ping is just as bad as trying to charge/pounce/jockey/shoot someone with a 250ms ping. (except that the fuckers with the bad pings can get used to it and work it to their adv).
And yeah. Laptop.

hell its easy to host a server on your own laptop, but the bottleneck is going to be your network.
what i meant was that you can only host so many instances of l4d2 per machine. it's not as profitable as other games so expect a higher price than normal.
