I'm sorry but what are you expecting us to do? What is it you see happening here? There are two clears of Sunwell left before the expansion. Are you proposing that we bring you on board and give you a raid spot over someone already in the guild that wants to go? Because there's little doubt in my mind that we'll already have plenty of people that want to go.

Abec's right though, we don't currently have a dedicated resto druid. But the truth is, for the next two weeks, we don't need one. And after that, everything changes. Maybe we have 4 people in guild that want to re-roll resto druid. Maybe we'd want to press you into tanking but you absolutely hate that. Maybe you're planning on re-rolling death knight, a class where people are already talking about who's going to get to fill the few raid spots afforded them. Who knows?

That's why I said wait and come back when we know what we need. Abec or someone may want to bring you on sooner rather than later, and that's fine. I'd just hate for you to join the guild and then find out six weeks from now that there's no place for you here.

So don't take it the wrong way. Despite the nonsense your former guildmate was spouting (his opinion is of dubious worth - Abec's right, his comment on Illidian healing shows a lack of knowledge about the fight), your time played and content cleared shows you have a good deal of experience. In as much as these things can be any measure of skill at least.
