1. Your age, gender, and time played: 27, male, probably 80 days or so played on my priest but over 300 only my prot warrior main (I've been playing since the game came out).
2. List any alts and off specs you have gear for AND CAN PLAY COMPETENTLY (your main should be able to respec and play any spec on the fly): I'm applying with my priest but I have a prot warrior as well.
3. Armory links (mandatory):
Priest: http://www.wowarmory.com/character-shee ... n=Gollamar
Warrior: http://www.wowarmory.com/character-shee ... AClverback
4. Any WWS or WMO links or other clear indication of your performance in a raid (recommended): Can't find any sorry.
5. We are a raiding guild and are usually in the top 100 guilds in the US; it is expected you have raiding experience and know ALL encounters and hard modes currently in game! In your opinion, what is the most difficult boss encounter you have ever defeated and why?: Yogg 25 hard mode on my warrior was probably the hardest, or at least the first one that comes to mind. That was in a guild called Fable on Thunderlord if you need to confirm it. What made it difficult was just knowing that mistakes, although an accepted part of the human condition, could not be tolerated if we were to get a clean transition into phase 3. Other than that, most the Naxx 40 man fights we did back in the day were pretty hard, some of the AQ40 ones. Those were all on my tank though, I only played my priest up until right before Ulduar came out, then switched back to my warrior. The years of experience I have playing in general though got me used to reading up on and preparing myself well for raids
6. Previous guilds/servers and reason for leaving, also include any references we may contact: Too many to mention, though I was most well known as a tank back on Shadowmoon. I started really playing my priest when a core group of friends from that server met back up on Bonechewer and we went strong for the initial release of WOTLK but eventually fell apart. I've tended to land in what I would call an "upper-middle class" guild in the past but have always felt like I wanted more of a challenge.
7. It is assumed you will be available from 8-12 ST (Server Time is EST) Sunday through Thursday. If you can’t, please explain why you couldn't make our scheduled raid times (or why you even bothered applying): As of right now I can, I'm currently unemployed and looking for work. My account is actually currently frozen and I wouldn't bother reactivating it or playing again until I got into a reputable guild like yours.
8. Explain what specifically puts you at the top? We raid to be at the top and expect it of all our members. Do you take pride in topping meters, never letting the tank die, never pulling aggro, etc.? What separates you from the rest? Be specific, this will be a major indicator of the kind of player you are: I do take pride in topping meters and try to. I'd rather have a guild full of cocky asskickers than lame scrubs that are really friendly. There's simply an increasingly huge gap in WoW between people who find challenging themselves and accomplishing goals as a group to be fun and those who play more for social reasons while collecting the welfare epics and beating the joke bosses. If you accept me I would basically be a veteran player with a lot of skill and an optimal work ethic, however you would have to be patient as I gear up from the pre-Ulduar point at which I stopped. As far as what sets me apart with my priest, I would say I love healing as holy specifically, especially raid healing as I feel that's what we're good at. Holy priests seem to have more ways to heal than any other healing class which keeps it fun. I love the massive aoe heals but also know how to keep prayer of mending and renew on tanks at all times. I try to do as much with instant casts as I can, including saving lives with guardian spirit which I use religiously. I'm someone who realizes that every ability in the game is there for a reason, and part of the game is finding what that reason is and how it works in play with all other abilities. I consider all abilities and evolve quickly, and also come to raids well prepared. Also, I'm named after the Italian pronunciation for the word "calamari" and ironically I have beard tentacles that make me look like a squid.
9. Post a screen shot of your UI (Thumbnail Please) or a comprehensive list of mods that you use for raiding. ARE YOU A CLICKER?
I am not a clicker. Very little, such as consumables ever gets clicked. I use 1-5, shift 1-5, ctrl 1-5, alt 1-3, q,e,r, f,g,z,x,c, etc. and am always thinking of better ways to set my key bindings so I can do things more quickly and with more skill. For example the row of key bindings z,x,c below the direction pad is reserved for "oh shit!" buttons (desperate prayer, fear, fade) that would need to be pressed quickly.
10. If you have thoroughly answered the following questions and you are confident you are what we are looking for, you have a good chance of being trialed, but we'd like to know why you want to join us? What made you choose us over the other guilds out there?
I have some friends in real life on your server but they're in a lackluster guild called Horde Decimators which I wouldn't enjoy the torture of so I was checking out your server for other good guilds. I also have a twin brother, Tyrless/Shalyss in game that was in their guild to help until he quit out of frustration. He's also a seasoned, veteran player well worth having (prot pally and he's gearing up his resto druid) and I might be able to convince him to join. I originally heard of your guild while I was watching my brother run with a rogue named Ikillthings who seemed to be the only one in the raid who knew what he was doing, so I said to my brother, "Why don't you join his guild?" Also to be honest, your server forums have no guild list where you could see all the top guilds and their websites, but at the top of the thread list was a recruitment post looking for a holy priest so I thought I'd give it a shot. Once I saw your website I was extremely impressed and intrigued. You seem like a talented group that still knows how to have a good time and I won't be bothering to apply anywhere else.
