No it's serious I mean you're not really single targeting at all during the fight only for about 10 secs before anub submerges and on the scarabs arcane blast will do more dmg than ffb, and you're AoE will be better because you will have icy veins and arcane power up for most of them as well as a 2 min evo so mana is not a problem. I am goina try it tonight most likely

The spec you're showing is one that was tried very early on Anub, and it was determined That FFB is the better choice. FFB has the advantage in LB, in that not only is it amazing aoe dps, but the globals it consumes and the delay in its damage and threat allow the tanks to pick them up and position. With the arcane spec you'd have to spend that time casting more ABs killing your mana, and doing mediocre damage considering you won't have the time to get to your 4 stack release very often. In addition, the Arcane spec is a lot less forgiving of mistakes, and more often than not you'll find yourself in a position where you won't be able to dps as effectivly or at all. FFB is safer and more consistent. In addition, for the smaller adds FFB is much better. Unstacked AB is shit, and even if you were able to keep your stacks up, the mana usage would be too high. You don't even have arcane barrage for when you have to move away from them. And even if you did, Hotstreak + fireblast is much better. As for Anub Damage, when that matters when you push at the end, you'll find yourself low on mana having to spend full time evocating and not dpsing, or using a shitty rotation where you don't reach your 4-stack. The time you spend in the earlier phases singletargetting is once again, limited becasue you get to your 4 stack so rarely. People that think this spec is good, look at one attempt where they AOE'd popped CD's and did high dps, but then did nothing or died early or wiped, and say "Oh I did 13k dps this spec is better".

Just go full frost. Double Ice Blocks for Bloodboil is very nice, and Phase two of Illidan is like WHOA dps because the big red guys are immune to fires. Then on Supremus the guy is resisty to fires as well, so you have to use your frost anyway so your damage will be good. You could argue that arcane could be used here, but without points spent in Wand Specialization the tree is useless.
