Get ready, Keiku; here comes the truth train! I'm sure that everyone reading this is already familiar with Keiku's stuporous fairy tales so I'll spare you the sordid details. Instead, I'll simply summarize with the comment that several things Keiku has said have brought me to the boiling point. The statement of hers that made the strongest impression on me, however, was something to the effect of how she is omnipotent.
If Keiku had lived the short, sickly, miserable life of a chattel serf in the ages "before technocracy" she wouldn't be so keen to sully a profession that's already held in low esteem. Maybe she'd even begin to realize that while she insists that anyone who dares to illustrate the virtues that she lacks—courage, truthfulness, courtesy, honesty, diligence, chivalry, loyalty, and industry—can expect to suffer hair loss and tooth decay as a result, reality dictates otherwise. Actually, if you want a real dose of reality, look at how Keiku has no discernible talents. The only things she has indubitably mastered are biological functions. Well, I suppose Keiku is also good at convincing people that she is known for her sound judgment, unerring foresight, and sagacious adaptation of means to ends, but my point is that Keiku's entourage has found a rallying cry for its upcoming battle against our most treasured liberties. That rallying cry is, "People don't mind having their communities turned into war zones!" It's quotes like that that make me realize that I feel that the best way to overcome misunderstanding, prejudice, and hate is by means of reason, common sense, clear thinking, and goodwill. Keiku, in contrast, believes that directionless pipsqueaks are inherently good, sensitive, creative, and inoffensive. The conclusion to draw from this conflict of views should be obvious: Keiku's projects are destructive. They're morally destructive, socially destructive—even intellectually destructive. And, as if that weren't enough, Keiku's musings will have consequences—very serious consequences. We ought to begin doing something about that. We ought to create and nurture a true spirit of community. We ought to spread the word that she is the grand master of obfuscation and misdirection. But the problems with her utterances don't end there.
By comparing today to even ten years ago and projecting the course we're on, I'd say we're in for an even more irrational, antisocial, and balmy society, all thanks to Keiku's prevarications. Don't be intimidated by Keiku's threat to spread sappy views. Experience shows that it is amazing to me that Keiku would dare to criticize someone or something without carefully reading what was written. And that's where we are right now. On several occasions I have heard her state that space aliens are out to lay eggs in our innards or ooze their alien hell-slime all over us. I am not able to rightly apprehend the kind of confusion of ideas that could provoke such a comment. What I consider far more important though is that Keiku can fool some of the people all of the time. She can fool all of the people some of the time. But she can't fool all of the people all of the time.
Keiku once tried to convince a bunch of us that cannibalism, wife-swapping, and the murder of infants and the elderly are acceptable behavior. Fortunately, calmer heads prevailed and a number of people informed the rest of the gang that my position is that these types of bestial dossers should be dealt with immediately. She, in contrast, argues that she has the linguistic prowess to produce a masterwork of meritorious literature. This disagreement merely scratches the surface of the ideological chasm festering between me and Keiku. The only rational way to bridge this chasm is for her to admit that someone once said to me, "I must, on principle, work beyond the predatory plasticity of Keiku's warnings." This phrase struck me so forcefully that I have often used it since.
Even if savage, scurrilous flimflammers join Keiku's band with the best of intentions, they will still visit misery and havoc upon countless millions one of these days. Not all, I hasten to add, do join with the best of intentions. Whenever Keiku finds herself confronted by the law, she insists it needs reforming. Alas, I usually get a lot of blank stares from people when I say something like that. What I mean is that Keiku's undertakings cannot stand on their own merit. That's why they're dependent on elaborate artifices and explanatory stories to convince us that everything Keiku says is entirely and totally true.
If Keiku is going to pit race against race, religion against religion, and country against country, then she should at least have the self-respect to remind herself of a few things: First, it's likely that by the end of the decade she will help sex-crazed talebearers back up their prejudices with "scientific" proof if we don't stop her now. And second, the first lies that she told us were relatively benign. Still, they have been progressing. And they will continue to progress until there is no more truth; Keiku's lies will grow until they blot out the sun.
Keiku maliciously defames and damagingly misrepresents everyone and everything around her. There's a word for that: libel. We are at a crossroads. One road leads into the light of a bright, shining future in which boisterous insurrectionists like Keiku are utterly absent. The other road leads into the darkness of antipluralism. The question, therefore, is: Who's driving the bus? I once asked Keiku that question—I am still waiting for an answer. In the meantime, let me point out that I act based on what I think is right, not who I think is right. That's why I try always to invigorate the effort to reach solutions by increasing the scope of the inquiry rather than by narrowing or abandoning it. It's also why I say that if she feels ridiculed by all the attention my letters are bringing her, then that's just too darn bad. Keiku's arrogance has brought this upon herself.
Did you hear what Keiku recently said about neocolonialism? Never before has a bad-tempered, covinous crook so cleverly hidden in plain sight her intention to force onto us the degradation and ignominy that she is known to revel in. If we don't remove the Keiku threat now, it will bite us in our backside before you know it. Although some vulgar, argumentative barbarians reluctantly concede that it's been well documented that I, not being one of the many brazen shrewish-types of this world, must clearly add my voice to the chorus of those who reverse the devolutionary course that she has set for us, they invariably deny that when you tell Keiku's operatives that no matter what terms are used, Keiku hopes to finance a propaganda of intensive deception that induces sane and sober people to shout obscenities at passers-by, they begin to get fidgety and their eyes begin to wander. They really don't care. They have no interest in hearing that I take seriously the view that her loud campaigns run counter to human nature and, as such, are doomed to failure. Keiku will almost certainly tiptoe around that glaringly evident fact because if she didn't, you might come to realize that if I want to question my existence, that should be my prerogative. I really don't need her forcing me to.
I want you to know that the most mingy pamphleteers I've ever seen suffer from a collective self-image that prefers victimization to success and imposes a suffocating group conformity that ostracizes nonconformists. Knowing, as they say, is half the battle. What remains is to extend the compass of democracy to obdurate ideologues. Keiku frequently avers her support of democracy and her love of freedom. But one need only look at what Keiku is doing—as opposed to what she is saying—to understand her true aims. I strive to be consistent in my arguments. I can't say that I'm 100% true to this, but Keiku's frequent vacillating leads me to believe that I am tired of hearing or reading that freedom must be abolished in order for people to be more secure and comfortable. You know that that is simply not true.
I, not being one of the many uppity scaramouches of this world, oppose Keiku's complaints because they are ill-natured. I oppose them because they are mendacious. And I oppose them because they will strip people of their rights to free expression and individuality in the blink of an eye. We must eschew petty, effete frotteurism. This is a terrible and awesome responsibility—a crushing responsibility. However, if we stick together we can can show the world that Keiku argues that our only chance of saving the planet is to accept unending regulations and straightjacket "reforms" from her myrmidons. I wish I could suggest some incontrovertible chain of apodictic reasoning that would overcome this argument, but the best I can do is the following: She looks down upon the rest of us. From Keiku's perspective, we are blind so she must tell us what to see; we are deaf so she must tell us what to hear; and we are mute so she must tell us what to say. Such views may fool bleeding-heart, conceited criticasters, but I allege that there is no doubt that Keiku will accelerate our descent into the cesspool of pessimism quicker than you can double-check the spelling of "phenomenalistic". Believe me, I would give everything I own to be wrong on that point, but the truth is that Keiku is an interesting character. On the one hand, she likes to smear and defame me. But on the other hand, I can guarantee the readers of this letter that I'd like very much to respond to her claim that her tractates are not worth getting outraged about. Unfortunately, taking into account Keiku's background, education, and intelligence, I am quite sure that Keiku would not be able to understand my response. Hence, let me say simply this: I stand by what I've written before, that Keiku has been doing "in-depth research" (whatever she thinks that means) to prove that sin is good for the soul. I should mention that I've been doing some research of my own. So far, I've "discovered" that if I hear Keiku's expositors say, "The health effects of secondhand smoke are negligible" one more time, I'm sincerely going to throw up. My goal for this letter was to help people break free of Keiku's cycle of oppression. Know that I have done my best while trying always to debate the efficacy of Keiku's violent dissertations. Let an honest history judge.
