In anticipation of the obvious things to laugh at:

- Yeah, my cloak enchant sucks. But so does my cloak. Sitting on frost emblems to buy the badge one until I know if I'll be able to find a spot as a raiding disc priest or if I may have to go holy.

- My chest enchant also sucks. Couldn't find anybody with +10 so I tossed +8 on myself and then promptly forgot about it until I looked myself over for this app.

- PVP bracers. No excuse not to have the crafted bracers really.

- PVP offhand. I do have the 10-man Saurufang staff (w/ 81 sp and 2x 23 sp gems), but I got the dagger last night and liked how it looked while I was RP-walking around Stormwind, brandishing it and sexually harassing gnomes, right before I logged out.

Jackslammer has the last call on this as our Healing CL, but ICC has a very low demand on healers. The most we've needed is six but more often we raid with four or five and some fights don't need more than two. With that in mind, we have 8-10 well geared and experienced healers including 3-4 DPS that can offspec Heal better than most Healer's mains.

There will likely be more need for Healers when HMs come out and Disc/Holy is always a good thing to have (we only have one Healer Priest atm in raids and if we did add more Healers to our roster, I think a good priest would be top of the list). There may be a place for you in a month or so when HMs release. This assumes that you're half decent and can get some better gear. You can solve the latter and prove the former by signing up to our secondary runs in the PUG section of these forums. Our secondary raids are very solid (better than most guilds) and many of our guild members run just those. You're more than welcome to come to a couple of those and then ask for a ginvite as a PUG Runner.

I don't think a main raid spot is likely now or guaranteed in the future though. So if that's what you're really really after, you would probably be best served by looking elsewhere.

Well, obviously that's disappointing news. I'd rather bide my time and wait for a shot with a quality guild than spam apps to a bunch, so I'm okay with just hanging out in your pugs and waiting to see how the situation may change when it's hard-mode time.

Whiskeysour (resto shaman) is adequately geared for resto. I could collect a set for either dps role, although I have not played pve enhancement before.

None, unfortunately. I left WoW shortly after the release of ToC to try Aion, I've been doing horribad pugs to try getting my priest up to par to return to raiding. I'll start keeping logs and app to do some of your pugs.

5. We are a raiding guild and are usually in the top 100 guilds in the US; it is expected you have raiding experience and know ALL encounters and hard modes currently in game! In your opinion, what is the most difficult boss encounter you have ever defeated and why?:
I raided Naxx & Ulduar with Spike Flail on Ner'zhul (Horde). Achievements are on Wrathftw, who was my main at the time.

Hardest boss fight would be either Vezax hard, mostly because we had 1 jackass who would panic and run THROUGH the other ranged rather than away from them when he got life leech, or Anub when I'm playing my shaman, because I really HATE seeing a raid on the cusp of death. I adore disc even more than usual on that fight.

6. Previous guilds/servers and reason for leaving, also include any references we may contact:

You can talk to Ello/Ellodin, Exitus/Tier, Facts (if he's still playing, I heard he quit the week after he got his legendary mace). I left the main raider rank because I got a new job and if I drove like a total asshole I still only made it home to get online right as the raid would be pulling (which was 30 min after raid invites). I opted to leave so the spot could go to somebody that wouldn't be inconveniencing 24 other people. I stuck around as a casual member for a while, then left the server when my arena partner nerd raged a week before the end of S6 and took off.

I left when the guild merged with another raid guild, I had a bad feeling about the leadership and chances for success. The merged guild fell apart within a month. You can talk to Sym, now on Illidan (Horde), he was GM of VI when I raided with them.

It is assumed you will be available from 8-12 ST (Server Time is EST) Tuesday through Thursday, during progression we will raid Sunday and Monday as well starting at 8 ST and ending when all encounters are defeated. If you can’t, please explain why you couldn't make our scheduled raid times (or why you even bothered applying):

Those times aren't a problem, they're pretty perfect. I work 10-6 EST.

8. Explain what specifically puts you at the top? We raid to be at the top and expect it of all our members. Do you take pride in topping meters, never letting the tank die, never pulling aggro, etc.? What separates you from the rest? Be specific, this will be a major indicator of the kind of player you are:

I take pride in being good enough to cover for bads in the raid, whether that's dispelling like a motherfucker, landing clutch tank heals when I'm covering the raid (or keeping the raid alive with shields to buy raid healers time while I'm on the tank), outhealing resto druids as a discipline priest (it happens in pugs, and it hurts my heart). I like being better than most people, both personally and being part of a group that kicks ass. I love hearing things like "Okay, we need somebody really good on X..." and having X respond immediately with "K, gimme Lux."

9. Post a screen shot of your UI or a comprehensive list of mods that you use for raiding. ARE YOU A CLICKER?

Only one I can find online from work is this one, with my pally in Naxx. Priest is pretty much identical except I've moved Recount over to the right side of my screen and switched from Xperl to Shadow Unit Frames.

Key mods include Grid (with the raid debuff add-on), DBM, Omen, Recount (mostly for analyzing wtf went wrong and which pug caster gets Power Infusion love, let's be honest, I'm a disc priest so I won't be moaning with delight over my meter toppage).


Not gonna lie, I click mana tide totem and far sight on my shaman.

10. If you have thoroughly answered the following questions and you are confident you are what we are looking for, you have a good chance of being trialed, but we'd like to know why you want to join us? What made you choose us over the other guilds out there?

I'm competitive, I like doing well and I want to raid with a group of quality players who feel the same way. But games are about having fun, and WLPH looks like a group of quality players with a sense of humour who haven't lost sight of that fact.

Another fact to be considered is that if we have additional priest, Thorran can level a different character to replace someone he thinks is terrible again.

Note: She's better than Darktwig since she had a druid, and his is lvl 17.

However, you did not list any fights significantly harder than Vezax or Anub i.e. Vashj or KT pre-nerf, Archimonde, M'uru, etc. Did you not raid for all of TBC, or did you simply pick your opinions of the hardest bosses of the current expansion for more relevance? Personally, with the dramatic ease of gearing out now, and the lack of extremely difficult content, I find pre-wotlk experiences more important for judging competence.

I would also highly suggest the pug runs which are better than many guilds (killing rotface and festergut the first week iirc), and potentially (obv. depending on performance) getting a spot for hardmodes when healing demands can be stronger.
