5. We are a raiding guild and are usually in the top 100 guilds in the US; it is expected you have raiding experience and know ALL encounters and hard modes currently in game! In your opinion, what is the most difficult boss encounter you have ever defeated and why?:
I think for me so far it was 10 man yogg as I was dps which was my off spec and it was a fairly long fight with a lot going on, (portals to brain etc.) for tanking I would say togc 10 man anub (prolly 25 if I could get there) although I don't think anub is hard but to date it had a lot going on for me as a tank with phase 3 and the off tank dead it got intense.

6. Previous guilds/servers and reason for leaving, also include any references we may contact:
Ohnoes guild. Scilla. I was kicked out because I was told there was no spot for me. I went away on vacation for 3 weeks and posted on the forums over a month in advance and even talked about it with the guild leader and officers (it was not an issue) but I was the 3rd tank in our 25 man group and when I returned a new tank was recruited and most likely there to take my spot. My first raid after vacation I was placed on stand by and the next day I was kicked. When I asked the Guild Leader why I was kicked he said there was no longer a spot for me. you can talk to anyway in ohnoes.

It is assumed you will be available from 8-12 ST (Server Time is EST) Tuesday through Thursday, during progression we will raid Sunday and Monday as well starting at 8 ST and ending when all encounters are defeated. If you can’t, please explain why you couldn't make our scheduled raid times (or why you even bothered applying):

I can make all times unless an emergency arises like I die.

8. Explain what specifically puts you at the top? We raid to be at the top and expect it of all our members. Do you take pride in topping meters, never letting the tank die, never pulling aggro, etc.? What separates you from the rest? Be specific, this will be a major indicator of the kind of player you are:

I believe what separates me from the rest is my ability to react. With tanking things happen and we have to be flexible and also react to what is happening with the raid and the boss. We need to be able to forget about the past.. (previous wipes etc..) we need to trust the heals will be there and use our cooldowns properly.

DBM, AGUF, ICE HUD, DIGITS,OMEN,RECOUNT,ELKANOS, MIKS SCROLLING COMBAT TEXT, TANK WARNINGS. I am not a clicker I use a Logitech G13 gamepad so my key bindings will look funny to you. (it has a joystick which allows me to move and strafe as needed)

10. If you have thoroughly answered the following questions and you are confident you are what we are looking for, you have a good chance of being trialed, but we'd like to know why you want to join us? What made you choose us over the other guilds out there?

From what I can tell you are one of the top guilds (if not the top) on the scilla server and I want to be the best.Also I am currently Horde and Horde is pretty bad.. and all the decent horde guilds are full on tanks.. and there is only one horde in the top 5 on scilla as of today.. enough said.

If you raided with us, it would mainly be as a dps role with an off as a tank. That being said, frost has been seen to be lackluster when you raid with a enhancement shaman, which we do. Would you stick with frost or would you change to blood or unholy.

In addition, I don't like the fact your tank spec lacks Mark of Blood and Improved Blood Tap, and instead has Sudden Doom and Imp Icy Touch (note that the Imp IT wouldn't matter much, as you wouldn't be tanking solo and the other tank classes could cover the debuff better). I'm also somewhat adamant about Frost as the tanking spec instead, because frost involves a lot more damage prevention options than blood (Imp FP, Frigid DP) but blood provides some benefits as well, so we'll leave that as an aside.

Finally it seems like you don't have as much tier items as you should. What happened to a majority of your badges?

If I was main spec Dps I would change to Unholy as it has proven to have good numbers in icc. Also I was Frost as my dps spec as we didnt have an enhance shaman all the time and my raid loved the Improved Icy Talons. Plus prior to icc it had fairly good numbers but unholy is still the top spec as of now. As far as Mark of Blood and Improved Rune tap, not too many dk tanks choose these talents. It isnt our job to heal ourselves and that is what these do. It is better to have some avoidance talents or some threat talents than those talents. Keep in mind death strike,vampiric blood do a great job healing us. As far as improved icy touch goes, Im not specced into Improved Icy Talons on my tank spec only Improved Icy touch almost every blood tank has this as it reduces attack speed but also provides 15% more damage to icy touch which as blood is our first disease we apply and important it does greater damage to hold threat. I agree with you that frost has some good avoidance options and it a good aoe spec but blood is superior for Effective Health and has some really good talents that are nice to play and stay alive. Im not against going to frost tanking again if I was to be strictly an AOE tank.

For my badges, I currently have 68 and I can get the shoulders right now. I would lose some hit and then be required to use hit food until I can get a ring or another piece with hit. (no Big Deal) I was waiting to use them until I found a guild because a lot of guilds are full on tanks and I might be required to go to dps as main and if thats the case I could use those badges for my dps spec. Keep in mind I was on vacation for 3 weeks in january and lost the badges I could have gained from that time.

If you glyph Imp Rune Tap you get a little party healing, and any little bit helps, even if it seems minor. As an offtank your threat shouldn't be too much of an issue, since ICC does not possess any Patchwerk fights where OT threat is really important. Also, Mark of Blood would help with tank healing, and as a tank you shouldn't be relying and blaming healers for your death when you still have options available to help heal yourself (~10k healing every 30 seconds from Rune Tap really isn't something to pass up on). Also, Blood gets good threat anyway, as heart strike is plenty of proski threat.

that is the spec I would use for an aoe type fights. This spec is more well rounded for all fights.

But this is the spec what I would start with until I got a 2 piece tier 10. As dps is my off spec I dont have any tier pieces as of yet but I do have enough badges for at least one piece right away.

p.s. I can easily change my blood spec to accomodate the changes you requested with improved rune tap and mark of blood.

in regards to your raiding experience, its a bit lacking. 2/5 25togc? only a tribute to skill on 10? 6/12 icc 25. nothing in 10.
