i was looking at this during raid to see how we can fix having valks followed by defile right after because that was a big problem. i also dont know why dmg on valks were so poor this week's attempts

Third, that last attempt we did where we all focused one valk at a time is the way that were probably going to have to do it.

I think we should do what Paragon did when they killed it with the 5% buff.
Their 5% buff is about equal to our 25% buff.

This is all fine and good... but as of last week 75% of our ranged were still unable to form a decent fucking stack. The odds of defiles being "placed" anywhere that isnt completely random are probably laughable.

Maybe Im just pissed we didnt focus on this months ago when it still mattered to me. Or maybe Im pissed because wotlk was such a let down in comparison to BC. Or maybe Im pissed because I dont recognize the guild anymore. Or maybe Im pissed because Im getting older and my hand cramps up after smacking three buttons for four hours straight. Or maybe Im pissed because I wanted to quit WoW but cataclysm actually seems like it might be interesting. Or maybe Im pissed because I have to mute a fuckton of people in vent because hearing them whine or say anything for that matter makes me want to kill babies. Or maybe Im pissed because Im sick of playing a moonkin. Or maybe Im pissed because I play a hybrid class and destroy some pure dps, making me feel like Im playing with people who arent on the level I grew accustomed to. Or maybe Im pissed because I dont have a legendary. Or maybe Im just pissed in general and theres nothing I can do about it.

I killed heroic sindragosa the second week of march and I knew we wouldn't kill heroic lk until at least 30% buff; what resulted was a stagnant four months of wiping to retarded mechanics which will take a toll on anybody, hence why I demanded a two day raid week then. A lot of players underestimate the encounter, and the ones that thought we could easily down it before 20% should have had us in there using all of our attempts every week however that approach would've just caused even more turnover to this eight month old content.We are close however and understanding the encounter, I believe it is just focus and desire at this point.

I know. Its a fine line to walk. I think my real problem is that BC raiding was actually difficult. If you look at BC raids from start to finish, overall, they took more skill and coordination than the majority of wotlk raid bosses. So now that raiders are no longer required to be the creme de la creme, fights that I feel SHOULD be easier for us... actually aren't. Combine that with the fact that Im both easily bored and easily frustrated and you have a fairly accurate reason for my current state of rage. After months of the same content, over and over, I simply don't care anymore. Especially when we're still capable of the most mind bogglingly stupid wipes on such old content. (perhaps I'll rephrase: I dont care nearly as much as I should) I dont have enough faith in some of our raiders to be able to pull their heads out of their asses.

Im sure we'll get hLK down eventually. But the victory wont feel like a victory. Not to me at least.
