Aura Mastery in Frostmourne Room

We really can't afford to lose people before this phase and during this phase. (as we saw yesterday)
Since we have so many Paladins (Jackslammer, Crucible, Gouken, Talith, Humiliation), we should definitely utilize them.

If you guys don't already have a Aura Mastery spec, get one.

The HoJ is a spec thing and ret pallys can't get imp HoJ and AM, so myself, Rootbear, and then Alyse/rets each grab one of the three stuns and stun when the initial shockwave fades.

Firstly we all need to be using AM more often, we should have four consistent AMs with Talith and they should be utilized two to three times in a kill attempt. Rootbear could respec to the HMLK prot spec and provide five AMs which would be beneficial.

Divine Sac needs to be used a lot more as well, even without bubbling the 20% less raid wide damage during an infest cast is amazing. DSac breaks when the caster drops low therefore it rarely causes death without a cooldown now, so it can be used a couple times a kill attempt as well.

TLDR: HoJs are working as intended, Rootbear should respec and utilize AM, and Alyse should use AM and DSac more often. A rotation will be set up for AM in the Frostmourne room.

Or people could just not be retards and follow the bouncing yellow dot. I don't think I've taken a single point of spirit damage on any of our 25 man attempts. And I'm fucking stopping to throw out 1.2 second heals as we go. Seeing people's names scroll through failbot is frustrating. There's no reason whatsoever for melee to even take the slightest amount of damage from those. Really, there's no reason for anyone to take any damage from them at all. The whole thing is ridiculously easy. The right answer to “Shit, we’re taking a lot of damage in the Frostmourn room” is not to compensate for bad, but to get better (likely people who don’t run 10 mans just need more practice time).

I don't AM much since it requires that I not heal at all for roughly 4 seconds during a period of time where incoming damage is high (obviously damage is being taken or AM would be worthless). There's only one GCD involved, however I don't have the capability to bind that much shit to my mouse or keyboard. Which means that I am manually clicking my auras. It takes me 2-3 seconds to switch to Shadow, AM, then switch back to Conc - then another 1.2 seconds while my HL casts. This seems like a retarded use of my time when people could just not be dumb. Especially given how easy it is for a tank to get absolutely wrecked in that amount of time. It may be helpful to pop these in Frostmourn room if the raidwide DOT is Shadow. Personally, I’d still rather toss HLs (especially since HL glyph splash heals for a fuck ton if everyone stacks like they should), but I guess it depends on how much damage can be mitigated by 6 seconds of AM.

Bubble Sac, on the other hand, takes no longer than my average HL. No one has ever given me any sort of assignment with it, so for the most part, I am just using it as a clutch in awkward situations where it seems needed. Most of the time this is the Infest after a Disc gets picked up.

I've done pretty much the same thing with HoJ. I position myself near the Valk path and hang out there while healing. If a Valk looks like it got away from the pack or someone's yelling about getting a stun on something because they got picked up, I'm there to hit it.

TLDR:
Six seconds of AM is not the solution to high damage Frostmourn phases. Practice at not standing underneath pulsing balls of doom is.

I've never considered improved concentration aura a PvE talent or really found the aura ever useful except on shit like Malygos' vortex, I believe it was arcane mages (most likely Extracrispy) that demanded Alyse spec and use conc aura. I'm not sure who needs conc aura but I'd guess staying in shadow resist and saving the GCDs for AM is more beneficial than using conc aura, especially in the Frostmourne room since most casts are instant so there isn't much use for conc aura.

You might want to include rogues in your stun rotations because sometimes with the valks its a stunning frenzy and the valk goes immune after the first stun, which in turn, causes us to usually lose the valk if the slow comes off for a split second. Making paladins spec into imp HoJ when rogues can do the exact same thing with a 20 second cooldown is pretty redundant, especially since we're using Shockwave as our first stun. At the most only one paladin should have the imp HoJ spec and Rootbear seems to have that down. Too many unassigned and unorganized stuns is our problem, we should have some sort of consistency to who stuns what every single time. I've had times when someone randomly calls out that they are stunning my target just for the fuck of it.

The best possible stun order would look something like this:

Star - Shockwave > Under > ??? > Dead
Circle - Shockwave > Athrun > HoJ > ??? > Dead
Diamond - Shockwave > Rootbear > HoJ > ??? > Dead

With Cheap Shots and Infernals saving valks nearing close to the edge

Doing something that looks roughly like this would free up Aura Masteries for Infests and Frostmourne Room. The solution isn't to have more stuns, its to time the precision of the stuns so that they have the maximum benefit. When this miracle of perfect stuns + good valk stack actually happens valks usually don't even make it past halfway.
