The previous guilds that I was in didn’t use logs.

Saga and Redemption on Scilla. Dawning Horde and Zug Life on Cho’gall. In these guilds my rank was a raider for the core groups. The reason I left dawning horde was for a more progressed guild bring Zug Life. Reason for leaving Zug Life is a server change to Scilla to help an old guild out. Reason for leaving Saga was expressing my opinion on mages and the GM’s cousin was the person I was debating with. I haven’t left Redemption yet.

It is assumed you will be available from 8-12 ST (Server Time is EST) Tuesday through Thursday, during progression we will raid Sunday and Monday as well starting at 8 ST and ending when all encounters are defeated. If you can’t, please explain why you couldn't make our scheduled raid times (or why you even bothered applying):

I have used various UI’s but they just hold me back by some bugs or using separate computers that Blizzards UI fits me perfectly and has less bugs. As far as other addons that I use are Forte for timers, DBM for encounter details/timers, Omen for a threat meter.

8. If you have thoroughly answered the following questions and you are confident you are what we are looking for, you have a good chance of being trialed, but we'd like to know why you want to join us? What made you choose us over the other guilds out there?

I have ran with you guys in some pugs and after being miserable in the progression guilds on scilla I’ve been in and seeing my skill surpass theirs and leaving them behind. There were no attempts to clean up fights or make any true progression. I’m looking for a guild as dedicated as I am.

I want to know what your opinion on mages is that made you leave a guild.

First off, Mia's runs do not represent wlph at all so you can't say you've run with "Us."

I'm looking through your achievements and you've yet to complete most of the hardmodes in ICC even as simple as they are now. While it's true that we will spend the first month of cata building together the raid group, meaning you'll get looked at no matter your previous experiance, I'm of the opinion that if you truly are a top class and dedicated player it would have shown through by now, meaning you'd at least be in a guild that was doing serious attempts on hm lk. Having not even done the earlier bosses in ICC on hm is concerning. Like I said, everyone that apps and wants to raid will get looked at, but you don't magically become a better player when an expansion hits. See if you're online this coming week for one of our alt bane runs and that'll give me at least a moderate idea of how good of a player you are, and I can tell you whether you have a chance or should look for another guild to raid with.

The time that I came back to play from having a screwed up schedule with my college classes really ruined raiding for me during ICC. The guild I was in on this server previously was an old friend who I transferred back to Scilla to help. That is the main reason I don't have many HM in 25m because they were focused on having a quick run to get to LK for attempts which was terrible.

As far as the mages... As fire mages the DOTs can produce a higher damage done with a lower dps rather than arcane being high dps producing sometimes not always a lower damage done.

That made no sense at all that you would leave a guild for saying such an idiotic statement that has no meaning at all.

his comment made sense in the context that recount does (or did) calculate dps by player active time rather than encounter length. so if you are active all the time with dots that do individually lower damage, you can get higher total damage (but lower dps, according to recount) than a nuker that nukes and then afks (or has really long cast, or has to evoc, etc)

it's still a comment that no one should care about, because no one should care about dps by active time rather than encounter length. under world of logs, there's a second number (i believe, called edps for effective dps or something like that) that calculates dps per encounter length

I left the guild because he told me to leave from my statement... sorry I didn't explain it in depth. Since I was debating the situation with the GM's cousin and she was offended by it that's the reason why.

I know that Plare, but as you said yourself since most logs are based off effective dps, meaning higher dmg done, it's a pointless argument and one definitly not worth leaving a guild for. What I mean is that if he wants to argue such a minor detail that really isn't even worth bringing up, then how's he going to respond when we critisize certain aspects of his play?

No that is the thing I didn't care I was stating that why not try out fire because they haven't since BC. Once they got heated about it the GM told me to leave or he was going to kick me over such a minor stupid thing such as that. I didn't just up and leave the guild because they were disagreeing with me. I left because it was that or he was going to kick me. It was complete bullshit.

I take criticism really well anything to help me be better at my class is wonderful. I'm not a complete irrational asshole about it I actually appreciate it.
