magmaw imo. Most ppl don't hit up double dragons until after atra / magmaw. After that wouldn't mind working on double dragons.

i dont think gateing our content would be good atm, if we go for magmaw at the point our raids stand atm we are gona end up not killing other heroic bosses we already have and its not like we dont need the gear

Err.. we really don't. We easily have the gear to kill magmaw right now. We've had to stop dps on Heroic maliorak before because we outgeared it so much.

Would your next selection after double dragons be to kill heroic council for the same reason?

1 week's worth of 3 heroic bosses isn't going to make or break magmaw.

Having more gear isn't going to account for a crucial person dcing in a puddle :/ 8 new pieces of heroic gear isn't going to magically make up the 35k dps he did.

Magmaw IMO. It's the last non-end boss that drops tier. Difficulty seems fairly in line with what we're doing and capable of.

Myndore's concern is a valid one. If we work on Marmaw on Tues/Wed and then get shit attendance on Sun/Mon, we could be forced to kill Normal bosses that we are capabale of killing on Heroic. However, you have to draw the line somewhere. We're not going to try Heroic Cho'gall before Heroic Magmaw, so now is as good a time as any to get it down.


PS: Since when did we poll our progression schedule? I thought this was an Abeocracy.

I vote Magmaw, however Myndor's gating concern could prove troublesome so we have to be careful as to how we go about insuring we still kill heroic Chim, Maloriak, and Atramedes weekly. We'd have to designate an amount of time on our schedule and just pick up and move on no matter how close we are to killing Magmaw.

If we have consistent Sundays and Mondays this would be negligible.

As a neutral party, I shall give my opinion.

After the nerf to VnT and the Magmaw change which happened ages ago. Conclave, VnT, Omnotron, Magmaw are all close enough in difficulty that it's stupid arguing over which is easiest. I'm the the opinion that all of them would take a similar ammount of time to kill. The thing that distinguishing them is that a fight like Magmaw is more dps/healer intensive, and a fight like Omnotron is more about execution and controlled dps.

Myself, I'm of the opinion that the next boss should be Omnotron and I'll give my reasoning behind this. The fight takes a good ammount of raid synergy and awareness, much like Atramedes. While I do think a fight like Magmaw would be killed faster, I think that doing a fight like Omnotron would be better for the raid as a whole. People seem to forget that everyone can improve their play, and I think that Omnotron would definitly help people start to play better. Learning to be more aware and control their dps rather than just tunneling is something people need to be able to do if you want to clear this content and do the later bosses. I also think it'd be better to just clear all of BWD Nefarion excluded simply for the sake of saving time not running in between instances. As I said, the fights are similar in difficulty so why not clear all of one instance and put it on farm rather than moving to another. The question really is, do you want to just move onto the next kill as quickly as possible, or try to clear content as a whole faster. If anyone brings up the "Oh we fuck up Omnotron on normal mode we can't possibly do heroic yet" arguement, well you're doing Atramedes now aren't you? And that was the most consistently fucked up Normal mode every week. Also, the guild already did a few meager attempts on Omnotron so people at least kind of know what to expect.

I feel that the fight order should be Omnotron, Magmaw, Conclave, VnT. One of the reasons I put conclave before VnT is that while the gear drop is pretty RNGish, the pieces there, belt/rings, are difficult to find elsewhere for most classes, and also because if you kill VnT last, then you can move on to Council right away.

And lastly. People have different opinions on what's next/easiest and aren't likely to change their opinions, be it based off fact or "This Boss drops something I want on Heroic". The officers need to take it upon themselves and decide what is best for the progression of the guild, and raiders should accept their decision and perform to their fullest on whatever fight is chosen. If you decide to do Magmaw, and after a few attempts I come in to stalk vent and hear someone say "This is stupid we should do X fight instead" I will be dissapointed. Like I said, it really doesn't matter what you choose next so long as you believe it will benefit the guild in the long run and everyone works on that one fight 100% without worrying about the others.
