Bringing a hunter with a retarded spec, that would probably under perform, that is my fucking problem. Fuck dont even ask me, ask kryn to go over him before you bring them to raid. Just because you want to replace me from the roster doesnt mean you should fill my spot with a retard.

Tuesday might not be "progression" but considering we still wipe on magmaw 1-3 times and omnitron 4-6 each week. I wouldnt dare bring in a pally I picked up in a pug, without getting jack to give him a once over, until at least chim, mal, atra, or halfus.

But once again thats just the immaturity I hide behind talking so do whatever you want.

It has nothing to do with replacing you from the roster, dumbass. It has to do with the fact that we get to bosses all the time and have to work around the fact that there's no Hunter in raid to drop traps or MD or whatever the fuck issue we're having at the time. If he had been a Rogue, I'd have done the same thing. Does that mean I hate Under and want him gone? No. That means we have one fucking Rogue and could use another.

He kept up with Talith and Myndore in damage for an entire run despite having shit for gear and didn't do anything stupid. He was fully gemmed and enchanted. My assumption after seeing someone perform well is that they can continue to do so. If they need some small tweaks to a couple parts of their spec to do even better DPS, I assume that other people will make suggestions to them that will accomplish that.

We found him Monday night and I wanted him in Tuesday's raid. Despite the fact that we still have wipes on some bosses, Tuesday is still BY FAR the best night for us to do trials. Otherwise you're bringing someone in on Nef attempts and I don't think there's much to argue about when I say that's not an ideal situation.

If you grouped with a Pally and they did well, I highly doubt Jack would care if you tried to bring them in raid. I know for fact that I wouldn't. Right now we don't NEED another Holy Pally, so it's not a very good example - but if there were a situation where Jack and I both were gone more often then not, I would expect the officers to do everything they could to fill the needed spot. And if that means taking an alright Holly Pally and working to turn them into something good, then so be it. It's not like we've never done THAT before either.

My only real problem with him was his spec and the statement that makes about him as a competitive dps. Considering our only goal in raids as dps is to make the fights as short as possible seeing some one with a non optimal spec/gems/enchants/glyphs is infuriating. Its the one thing that you can factor in before the boss is even pulled. If you believe he could be a decent raider offer him another trial, hunters arent difficult to play and pretty easy to master in pve.

Valid points.

A) I treat anything we can down within ~5 attempts as farm and figure that one underperforming DPS won't cause too much of a problem in these situations (unless of course they cause wipes - but they wouldn't last long if that were the case). Besides Nef, all of BWD is farm IMO. For example, V&T is not. That's just me though.

B) Given the time restraints and the fact I had already seen him do passing well, my assumption was that this would be something we could do during/at the begining/right before the raid at little to no detriment given the nature of the content. In fact, this is exactly what happened. Turns out he couldn't take it though and the process vetted what probably would have been a raider that got offended and quit in short order. So... Success!

Alyse is right to want to trial someone he potentially thinks can be beneficial to the guild. Lawler is right to say that he should be given the chance to help him fix his gear before his Trial Run. Alyse is wrong when he said that we sat raiders that didn't need gear, because we did. Alyse is right when he says that we sat raiders that didn't need gear because those "raiders" were Peda and Snowz.

If you find someone you think is good, yes trial them, but once you find them hand them over to people that know the class so said people can make sure their shit is right.
