I'm working on my balance gear currently, I can use resto gear for the most part, but I'm trying to get 2 dps trinkets.

On Scilla, was in Stimulate before they transferred, was only a raider. I left Stimulate when they transferred off to Illidan.

After Stimulate, I joined The Panic Attacks because I had a friend in that guild. I left due to a combination of reasons that I don't wish to post publicly, but I also missed alliance (was alliance prior to Stimulate) so I decided to faction change back.

As for references: Stelle on Illidan, she's a priest in Stimulate and Capoko on Scilla, he's a priest in TPA.

I've ran with a few of your member's in pugs and stuff, and they've always been pretty decent, even if just on their alts. I know my gear on my druid is a bit lacking for your current place in progression, but I thought I'd try putting in an app anyway. I'm working on my gear, trying to get the last few JP pieces, etc.

Also note: My druid is currently rocking herbalism, but I'm gathering the herbs to re-level Alchemy, so that should be leveled in the new few days.

Couldn't find anything majorly wrong based on the crash course I just gave myself in Resto Druid. From what I gathered, Haste between caps is useless and you're about 50 over the nearest cap (and about 100 away from the next) which means you could probably reforge a little better to move those 50 points somewhere more useful. Most of what I read recommended that you try to keep Mastery and Crit near equal, but your Mastery seems to be lagging. Course this is all information I gathered in the last 15 minutes, so who knows.

More important than that, your app was clear and well written. So, props there. Gear is one of the least important things we look at, but you're not really too far behind there.

One thing I am a bit concerned about is your lack of experience. You've done very very little since the start of Cata and most of your gear was obtaind in the last day or two. I do not mind bringing you in and seeing how you perform. However, you need to understand that we are not a learner guild. We expect our members to know their shit inside and out. And if you are not able to perform to the level we require, we will not carry you. Additionally, we do not have any real full time Resto Druids right now, so there's not a whole lot of help we can give in coaching you even if we wanted to.

I'd like you to give me a brief history of your healing experience and explain what you've been doing so far this expansion. Do you know any of the fights in Firelands from some other toon's perspective, or will we have to teach you from scratch? Did you recently decide to start healing or did you just take a break?

I am "slightly" over haste cap, but from what I've read I should be slightly over instead of exact, plus now that I use more direct healing for mastery, the haste isn't completely wasted, though until I can reach the next cap I'm going to try to stay where I am haste wise. Mastery is a bit low, but that will come with better gear.

As for my playstyle, I'm a healer a heart - I'm comfortable playing all 4 healing spec's in a raid environment. I don't expect, or have any desire to be, carried. I'm a perfectionist. I'm always researching logs, fights, healing styles of myself and other's to improve myself. I'm not saying I don't fuck up - I'd be lying if I said that, but I learn from my fuck ups and try not to do it again.

As for my previous healing experience, I played a resto druid off and on in WotLK, but so far in Cata most of my experience was on my holy priest:

Even though I don't have some fights, I still know the fights - example: Heroic Nefarian, Sinestra, Conclave, Heroic Shannox, etc. I've worked on the fights, but didn't down them for reasons such as comp, or progression. (Conclave we wiped twice and started to work on Heroic Cho'gall in Stimulate)

As for coaching, I have a couple of top-ranked resto druids that I email when I have questions, so that's covered.

There a ton of fights where we should be dropping a healer for a dps, and boomkin are pretty key for this (reg, rhyolith is great for moonkin as well).

If I could find some dps trinkets easily I wouldn't mind going dps from time to time, I don't mind sacrificing to down a boss, but to be honest I love healing much more then dps. Not to mention I'm way better at healing, only time I really switched to balance was for Heroic Lich King progression.

ever since like march, there have been maybe twice where we've had to sit healers. instead, it's pretty much always some random dps that has to heal on os or alt or sit. and if we ever need to drop healers, pretty much all our current healers except crucible can dps (although me and zsig roll disc/holy sometimes/alot and would have to respec)
