Not everyone is fucking perfect, maybe we can change your position so you have an easier place to stand, or we can adjust interrupts, or a slew of other things. There is no reason why we shouldn't adjust where we need to, sometimes fights are just easier for some and harder for others. Fire adds on Illidan for example.

These numbers, unfortunately, do not reveal much. Some people try to stay alive for a long time after a wipe (FLYING TO THE ENTRANCE, WTF). Others, like myself, will die as soon as we are sure a fight is a wipe. If you would like these numbers to be more accurate, we're going to have to adjust the way we play (aka: call wipe on mumble, everyone dies with 5s). Etc.

You could not be more wrong. Sigh, why cant people just look at the fucking numbers, you'll know if they are fucking relevant or not. If you're at the bottom of the list something was killing you the majority of the time before the rest of the raid AND YOU CAN FUCKING SEE IT IN THE DEATH LOGS.

Comments like what annysia said are why it takes us so long to figure out why we wiped, because every person was trying to do something to finish the wipe it means all stats are useless, that's complete horse shit, we take 4hours to fucking wipe which first blows your every person was trying to do something to wipe comment and second off, we can always see who died first, and the people with the lowest survivability percentages were the people dying first.

Just admit you're fucking bad and not the best player and go find out why, its the sign of a good player and person in life as well.

I have to sit around and listen to people tell me why they are so good at linux and why the dont make mistakes instead of them listening to what I have to say on how to find the root cause of the problem so they actually know if they are correct or not. This shit carries over whether you want to believe it or not. No one here is a fucking prodigy, take the few moments and go look how you died and see if its something that we can fix if you had a low percentage of living.

those numbers all mean nothing. we all know everyone cant dodge the simple mechanic from the normal version which is the tornadoes... maybe after 85 more attempts people will figure it out

Alot of the deaths were from the casts, but again usually that was after a wipe.

I'm more concerned with the people dying before the tornadoes wasting our battle rezzes which is what happened on our best attempt and why we couldn't battle rez the tank that died to an enraged hatchling.

Alot of those pretorndao deaths are from people trying to push it to the limits in the air or missed interrupts on the ground, as well as brush fires. If we need to move people around or have people respec then lets do that to make it easier.

i agree with the pre tornado deaths. it just seems like if we're all actually alive during the tornado phase, there's always a few people who dont really understand the mechanic or maybe trying to get their crit buff which is meaningless if they are dead.

iirc, from a healing perspective, non-tank pre-tornado deaths were largely:
1. ragette and nexdominus had about 9000 deaths because kicks were inadequate and they were not dispelled/topped off in time (i would heal them but i don't want the tank to blow up )
2. firestorm/lava spew (shrug, people walking into the wrong places)
3. brushfire is a nonissue. it's hard to see where the adds are pointing, but you can take a tick or maybe even 2 just fine if you are topped off. that's what the raid healers are for

I was not abrasive in my comment at all. I know if I make mistakes. I probably had one attempt where I fucked up on tornado phase (probably tuesday) and I could definitely name 3-5 times where I took avoidable damage. You just won't get much from these percentages without their context.

Why are we dying right now? It's not a mystery at all. People are dying to lava spew and brushfire and tornadoes and fubar'd interrupts. We fix that and we'll kill it. Once everyone has a modified interrupt macro, that >should< help with that issue. We have the mechanics down and it's all execution now.

I NEVER said these numbers were meaningless. They just don't help as much as they could with the way we play. There's no need to get worked up at my comments if you disagree with them. I'm a pretty chill guy, no need to yell.
