We should be pushing Sinestra, Nef, Alakir, etc.. but half the people in here think its a waste of time. We really are not hardcore for raiding. We just happen to be decent and manage to clear a lot of stuff without too much effort.

I think Alyse and Rages have pretty much summed up my opinion too.

Also there have been a lot of good players that don't stay because they just don't like the shouting and overall raid environment we have. If there are similar guilds that don't insult and shout every second they are going to go there in no time. On the other hand that also kind of becomes our selling point. The good players that like to shout and cuss in vent will find a home here.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm not interested in going hard core. If we went back to a 5 day raid week, I'd probably drop. I just don't have the desire to commit that much to this game anymore.

Three days is about perfect for my tastes with 4 days here and there for progression and 1-2 days when content is down.

I realize that moving doesnt fix anything right off the bat. The important thing to remember is that we get a large amount of players that become available. I know we wont stick out among the garbzillons of guilds, but the point is already stated, there is 27 guilds on that realm where we are, which means there is an abundance of players that are there and willing to raid.

We've always been a feeder guild unless you're the top 5 in the world, you're in a feeder guild. I've learned to embrace this a long time ago. People that enjoy our environment stay, which is the players we get every 3-5 recruits.

I have no problem with rotating door policy, we've had TONS of players come and go, the only difference now is that scilla has no one to come and go with.

High pop would be incredible, we've been on low and medium, I think we should try high.

Whether it's 5 guilds trying to get at 200 people or 50 guilds trying to get at 2000, the supply is still the same. You seem to think that we're going to have an easier time recruiting on Sargeras when the economics of it just don't support that.

I think we may find a better talent pool on another server, but sometimes it seems like you think that we're going to move somewhere else and recruits are just going to fall into our lap. That's just not the case. We're going to have to work just as hard to find one person on Scilla as we are Sargeras. It's just the kind of work we're going to have to do will be different. Sargeras will require lots of active recruiting in /2 and on their realm forums. And by lots, I mean A LOT. The realm is so overpopulated that tradechat scrolls past faster than you can read it, no matter what time of the day it is. That means lots of man hours actively spamming, posting and searching for recruits. And let's be honest... We have a piss poor record in that department.

It'll be $105 for me to get three toons over there and I'm just not sure it's worth it. And for me, it's not even about the money, but the value. I'm worried that what I'll get for my hundred bucks is a headache and a different set of problems. If money was an issue for me, I can flat out tell you the answer would be no. So I can only imagine what some people in this guild must be thinking.

I appreciate that you're a glass half full person, Abe. And I know mine is always half empty. Hopefully reality is somewhere in between what you envision and what I fret over. I think moving can be an overall positive for us. However, at this point, my major concern is that a realm like Sargeras is going to make things worse and not better.

My vote: If we really feel that moving is the right decision, then do it shortly before 4.3 and go to a medium population server with 10ish well progressed guilds (something that lands the server in rank 20-30ish). I listed a couple quick suggestions above. Maybe later I'll look for a few more and make sure the two I listed actually make sense.

We haven't been happy about recruitment since we came here, our only reason for moving here was for performance issues on our realm, we were just fine as far as recruiting on Nathrezim. We always had enough coming in to replace the ones going out, and there were enough people around to replace the really bad players if needed. There were certain times we had issues, but for the most part we could replace anyone as long as it wasn't a tank.

Scilla has never had that. There have always been exactly the amount of people to support the exact amount of guilds that are on the realm, and until a guild broke up you were pretty much stuck.

I wish you would give me more credit, you make me feel as if you think I'm blind. I recall intricately of what it took to originally recruit, how to maintain the pool and what was required from outside the guild as far as supply. I have no belief that players will fall into our lap, but when you're on a realm with 900 level 85's and go to a realm with nearly 7,000 85's, its a bit different. Even if the ratios of good to bad are still the same, that just means there more to choose from or at least converse with.

Even after all that, I have more on the line than anyone else here, WLPH is me. I feel that this would far more help than burn us.

As far as all of our alts, I know I'll be happy because we'll be able to play with a ton of other players. We all saw the amount of LFG for full clears. Its very nice when you can build a group when you can get online.

The end goal is to not have to worry about replacements and instead simply worry about the content for the last patch.

I am still at how does spending money fix that fact that we don't actively recruit now?

As stated in the previous TLDR, we never had to actively recruit, there was enough player base to replace what was missing, we would be going to realm with 10 times the amount of alliance players. If anyone here knows how I recruit ( and as well as jackslammer ) its typically through just talking to people, not spamming shit. Thats always been enough believe it or not.

Hell, most of you came here from here from that, I think we ginvited regolith in a battleground.
