Of course it will hit, but with the macro you can get at LEAST one cast from every caster to hit the bolt before it lands. It's just something we do and it seems to work pretty well.

You dont need cds on elementium bolts without nozdormu. I was just running to the very edge of my cast range under the tentacle and taking next to no damage. Even you inferior classes without wards and soul link wont take more than 50k.

My understanding is that this works for the initial hit, but that the subsequent ticks are unaffected by distance. I may be wrong. I couldn't find any infomration in my brief online search and I'm at work, so I can't see if the Dungeon Journal has any info on it.

Letting two meteors hit is not advantageous to having healers with sufficient mana to heal P2. That shit was just ridiculous.

I don't see any reason we can't go into P2 with full mana as the fight goes from high spike damage to relatively no damage at predicable intervals that the down time to regen can be budgeted to go into P2 with full mana no matter how intense P1 is. This is why I said the strat for healers was to just budget mana to go into P2 with full mana last night.

100% true, healers need to start their CD rotation after Nozdormu. The damage does scale with range but using a personal CD and spamming the bolt is more effective than not casting and moving away in a lot of cases. We are spread out though so only a few people should ever need to move.
