Monks are fine Alyse. All classes seem pretty well balanced and I feel the difficulties are about right, the beginning of Hell can be rough if you just hit 50 and are using level 40-50 gear as can Inferno if you're not in all 60 gear.

Myself (Wizard) and a Monk two manned our way through Hell and to 60 pretty easily, we one shot all the bosses and got the easy achievements. We skipped about one out of every five elite packs because of retarded combos that were a waste of time and would've just turned into gold sinks while we slowly drained their health in between revives. We also killed about one in every five treasure goblins we encountered, we mostly lost them because his ally would pull before we were ready or the treasure goblin would run through packs of elites that jailed or walled us or something lame.

I'm much more inclined to level another character than tackle Inferno for the time being, it's the largest jump in difficulty and requires nothing but gear since level is capped. Damn fun game though.

This is what worries me. Talked to Myndore last night and he says his Monk got stupid at about A3 Hell. This seems to be a pretty common consensus so I'm trying to decide if I'm okay with that or if I want to reroll Demon Hunter or Wizard.

It kinda pisses me off because neither of the two look to be as fun as the Monk. Monk is just perfect for how I like to play. I love classes that are a mixture of Heal/DPS, I love the "fire and forget" aspect of things like auras and pets and I find the ranged shift targeting to be extremely clunky in a game like this so I'd much rather prefer to be melee.

As cahn said gear makes stuff alot easier. Going into hell, save up for a strong shield and grab some more defensive gear and it actually makes it really strong.


The best farming spot in the game, for xp, gold, and items is from act 3 right before you kill azmodan, the core of w/e the fuck its name is the last passage, to the first boss immediately in act 4. In nightmare there are three quests in that time that give you 44k xp each, and the passage to azmodan always has many elite mobs and a treasure goblin. You can complete the whole thing in about 10 minutes and just keep repeating it. Its a good way to farm for gold, and for gear you're better off just farming gold then hoping for it to drop or crafting it yourself.

I think using a shield is the wrong way to go as it kills your spirit gen. I found that getting a lot of vitality along with imp regen mantra and life on hit gear keeps me alive well enough.
