5. We are a raiding guild and are usually in the top 100 guilds in the US; it is expected you have raiding experience and know ALL encounters and hard modes currently in game! In your opinion, what is the most difficult boss encounter you have ever defeated and why?: The most difficult was probably Razoregore from BWL when it first came out. Only reason being was that I had to kite as a hunter and the other hunters in raid were mostly incompetent. I learned to kite every dragon myself as the other hunters would surely die or feign.

6. Previous guilds/servers and reason for leaving, also include any references we may contact: In/from Harpell for as long as I can remember (4+ years?). Antaries has been a good friend of mine from Harpell for many years. Why I am leaving Harpell? 5 guys ninja'd the bank and all left which left the guild weak being that the server we are on is trash. We were the 2nd place alliance guild.

7. It is assumed you will be available from 8-12 ST (Server Time is EST) Sunday through Thursday. If you can’t, please explain why you couldn't make our scheduled raid times (or why you even bothered applying): I have church sundays and wednesdays so I may be late. I am married so I can't promise that I can make every day every week. Antaries was told he was free to bring a few people. I believe 9 of us core members.

8. Explain what specifically puts you at the top? We raid to be at the top and expect it of all our members. Do you take pride in topping meters, never letting the tank die, never pulling aggro, etc.? What separates you from the rest? Be specific, this will be a major indicator of the kind of player you are: I have to be the best in my class when it comes to dps/tanking. I am a little new to healing, though if you ask a do a better job than most. If someone is above me on the meters and its not all do to gear, I will learn what they are doing and do it better. I read forums actively and know a lot about my class as a whole. I do 4-5k dps consistently in my current gear in Ulduar on and normal(not buffed or the boss eats me or silences, ect) boss/trash.

It is a pretty lame UI. I used to go hardcore in depth until my mod was not updated anymore. I don't need fancy UI's. Most my keys are bound while certain keys that are rarely used are not tho I know exactly where they are. So I suppose I am half clicker?

Gear is decent, although you have made a few small mistakes in terms of gem choice. You are also well over the hit cap. Nothing that couldn't easily be rectified though. Your lack of 25m experience is a point of concern, but the transition from 10m shouldn't prove overly difficult.

Your spec is absurd. :? Im wondering if you can explain why you seem to have gone against any one of the cookie-cutter specs in favor of... well... that.

If you can figure out how to link to your guild's raid parses, I might be more inclined to offer you a trial (if your performance is passable).

It is actually the best dps spec available for moonkins so long as your mana regen can support it throughout the fight. I used to be the other spec until my gear allowed me to head this route.
I was at 263 hit but I did some research and my gear setup this way is actually better then when i had 263. I have conq chest but this gear setup won out over everything else atm :|.

ok... where to begin...

Moonglow is useless. It is the worst of all available mana saving/regen talents. The only time a good moonkin would put a point into moonglow would simply be to reach the next talent tier. That single point is arguably better placed into genesis for the incredibly slight dps increase. You have 3 points in moonglow and 2 in Genesis. There is literally one fight in which Moonglow is usefull, and that is HM General.

The order in which regen talents are most effective are as basically as follows; Intensity>Dreamstate>Moonglow. As it looks like the majority of you experience is 10m, where optimal raid buffs would be harder to achieve there is some room for forgiveness when it comes to feeling you need regen in the first place. Now, here is the problem... a good moonkin does not need points in *any* of these talents. In a raid buffed environment with replenishment, you should never run out of mana unless you are excessively using AOE. AOE, is no longer as useful in Ulduar save for a few fights. There is a disclaimer to this though; my innervate is MY innervate. I am fortunate enough to play with excellent healers who almost never end up in a position where they need to steal it from me. (this could also be due to the fact we have a fair number of druids in raid... but thats beside the point)

This leads me into my next few points. Because AOE is no longer as useful as it was in Naxx, points in gale winds are wasted. Typhoon is truly more of a pvp talent at heart. Its mileage may vary... but there is no situation in which typhoon would fit into a normal rotation. It may provide a slight increase in damage during a fight requiring a lot of movement, but Im a firm believer in that the point could be used elsewhere. Say nothing of the fact that if you used this on trash, any tank worth his salt would boot you from the raid.

The chance for Owlkin Frenzy to proc is still low, and much like typhoon still more of a pvp oriented talent. Placing those points in Brambles is generally accepted to provide a greater dps increase thanks to the treant effect. Not to mention the additional boost to thorn damage. (which is harder to factor, but overall, brambles is going to provide a larger passive damage increase than you could hope for from OF)

So if we remove all the wasted/questionable points you have sunk into the balance tree, you would have enough points to drop into Master Shapeshifter + OOC. This would provide a larger, sustained dps increase over the other talents you have opted to take.

In terms of the hit cap, I understand that ulduar gear is somewhat harder to optimize. So while you may find yourself over the hit cap, you neglected to replace you boot enchant with +15sta/Run speed. Theorycrafters have crunched this and proven that the +hit/crit is not as beneficial assuming you dont need the additional hit. You most certainly don't.

Now here's the deal... even with your spec as it is, if you are a capable player, you are still probably able to put out decent damage. Gear and spec of course, isnt everything, so pardon my rant. rofl. I can however, without a shadow of a doubt, guarantee you could increase your single-target dps with another spec.

I realize after reading my last post, there were several times it could have come across as if I were insulting you. So first off I want to clarify that really wasn't my intent. I'm just a passionate moonkin. :lol:

Those raid parses actually look pretty decent. You are roughly where I would expect you to be with your gear/spec as it is.

While its fairly obvious Im not a fan of your spec, I also take into consideration your spec isnt detrimental to the other 24 members of a raid. Much to my disappointment, there really isn't anything a moonkin can bring to a raid that another class cant. Save perhaps an extra battle rez. Bring the player, not the class... yeah...

In any case as I mentioned those parses tell me you seem capable enough. I am willing to give you a tiral. But for the love of all things, go back to a spec based around single-target damage.

Though, I will give you the same disclaimer I intend to give every possible transfer from this point forward:

We are really starting to buckle down on new recruits who aren't up to snuff. We need people who excel at their class, do not fuck up, listen to instructions, etc. Before you spend the money transferring, think long and hard about whether or not you would fit the bill. You need to understand that if the trial doesn't go well, or you don't perform up to our standards, you would likely be removed from the guild or demoted to a non-raiding position. As long as you understand and are accepting of that, I would say its probably safe to go ahead with your transfer.

Actually I had almost the exact same talent tree as you close to two weeks ago. Only reason I changed was in reading some forums and the tree I have now caught my eye. They said it was the top spec atm and I reacted the same way as you initially thinking about the unnecessary aoe talents and owlkin frenzy, but decided to give it a whirl anyways. Apparently I failed .

That being said, I will be changing my tree back as I was only trying that one out and it really wasn't all that bad but I do see your points. I am always looking for the next best thing to make me that much better 8-)

I always learned that it was best to save my innervate for the healers as I never really have to much of an issue going oom and they do. However if your healers are competent enough to handle their own - I am happy to use it on myself

P.S. I am a passionate moonkin myself so I understand.

edit: I know my gems are funny atm and need a little bit reworked. I was sort of preparing for the JC change in prismatic gems with the blues. The yellow crit gem needs changed and will be.
