Re: D3 - Firecrest - 06-03-2012

That's... Pretty much exactly what I said? It's Kungen. Comparing the skill, resources and dedication of a guy like that to anyone here is just stupid.

Re: D3 - mascaron - 06-03-2012

pfft... Kungen hasn't been fed any gold / gear by his viewers. He was offered powerleveling for his monk and he declined it. Athene is who you're thinking of, who had viewers donate millions upon millions as well as crafting mats. He got ~800 flawless square topaz and ~800 flawless square emeralds donated to him as well as thousands of tomes to make 2 radiant star gems. Costs ~15.5mil in crafting costs to make 1 of them bad boys. But when he put it in his bow, it increased his dps by 33k lol.

Also, "WAAAHHHHH I HAVE TO FARM ONE ACT BEFORE I GO TO THE NEXT ACT" . Blizz wanted that to be the case, saying they expected weeks / months for people between acts. SC chars can death run through shit and then sell OP gear to lesser progressed people and give out faggotry waypoints for easy farm spots. HC is following the intended design path. EVERYONE has to farm that much gear before Act II, not just barbs / monks.

Nope. In either mode its easier to find blue +int for witch doctors than it is finding rares that have all of the necessary stats for melee to survive and actually kill stuff before out of time.

Re: D3 - Firecrest - 06-04-2012

All I said was that Act II was kicking my ass and I needed to start farming. Calm down, Masc.

Also, Sanderz is right. You wanna trade a "really good" WD necklace for a "really good" Monk one, I'll take that deal all day long.

Re: D3 - CAN - 06-04-2012

only monks/barbs gotta do that much work is pretty much the point here

it doesn't take shit to get a ranged class to act3+ level

Re: D3 - mascaron - 06-04-2012

lol sanderz. except that for HC, really good WD necks aren't blue. They definitely still need all resist and vit. Cool you could kill shit just fine w/ the blues, but make one little slip up and get one shot and gg (lol fire grate 1shot inc). All the WD in HC that I've seen are acquiring all resists as well. No one has finished Act II on hardcore afaik. Current WD who is farming Act II goblin has 16k dps, 49k hp, and 400 resists. Was able to live through a plant explosion that he didn't notice with 5% hp. GL making it through all of the gay serpents who go invis when you're too far away as a glass cannon build.

Re: D3 - Firecrest - 06-04-2012

HC has always just been a good way to decide I don't want to play Diablo anymore. You never die to anything where you're like, "That was a good fight, oh well." It's always latency or a DC or your companion pulls three rooms of elites or something else that makes you want to put your fist through your monitor.

That said, I get what Masc is saying about HC forcing the intended play model of farming a previous tier before moving to the next, but that doesn't make it the "true" play format or anything. It just means that people playing SC are trying to progress faster than Blizzard intended - which, really, should surprise no one. Except Blizzard, I suppose. They always seem shocked when people don't stop to smell the roses.

Anyways, talking about HC here is pretty pointless as no one I know of in guild is actually giving it a serious go.

Re: D3 - CAN - 06-04-2012

you just pay some jerkoffs a lot of gold and you can get powerleveled to 60 in under an hour

how you get that much gold to afford their time is beyond me.

and then you progress through the game by farming goblins for hundreds of hours with friends
