To elaborate on this subject, I really think that we need to start from the beginning, covering the old gods, the creation of earth warden, war of the ancients, neltharion/dwing going to deepholm, further madness, what drove this madness.
There is at least 20 minutes of discussion topics here that we can cover quickly with lots of key points that will keep peoples attention fading in and out of reference spots in game.
When I do shit like this I try and think like a child with the questions
Why are we killing Deathwing?
Because he's insane.
Why is he insane?
Because of the demon soul.
What is the demon soul?
An item of immense power created by Nethlarion and powered by the aspects.
Who is nethlarion and the aspects?
Guardians placed by the titans.
etc....

How are you going to make this so it's not just a voice version of wowpedia? Most people, if they wanted to know this stuff, would just go there and read about it. What are you going to have that would make someone want to listen to you instead?

It'll be more than just dry reading, it will have comparison/contrasts, video of previous events if applicable, references that you can view in game, just a more personable feel. Reading a wiki article doesn't tell you the stuff you want to know like an 'expert' can, and in most cases even novices can tell you a bit more.

So perhaps rather than an Instance, we pick a topic and then fraps ourselves doing things in game that relate to that topic hm?

Yes, we can visit yoggs room for demon soul, we can try and find deathwing flying over a zone, we can visit AQ40 for the other dragon aspects, what old gods are. etc.........
If we really wanted to, we could talk about ulduar and the titan references there, but this shit branches off very quickly to a ton of interesting topics.
Did they remove nozdromdu?

You guys need some structure. You can't just go and show people some random shots of things they've already seen and expect it to be entertaining. More “show” and less “videocast”. Like… Do you watch Discovery or History channel? Those guys take the most boring shit and turn it into stuff you just can’t turn off. You really should look to that for your formatting.
What they have is narration over video. The narrator tells a dialogue that could honestly stand alone by itself. And then they add images to punctuate and improve on that message.
Wrong:
“So now we’re coming up the ramp after Council and there’s Illidan and he’s kneeling down. And if I zoom in… You can see there that in his hand he’s got a skull. That skull is the Skull of Guldan which is…” Etc etc as the camera swings wildly around following Furly’s stupid character as he runs through BT. Going into depth on the Skull when you're talking about Illidan in BT is too much and random vent dialogue is too boring.
Right:
“Pressed by the heroes to the top of Black Temple, Illidan clutches the Skull of Guldan in reflection during the moments before the treachery of Akama and appearance of Maieve that will mark the end of his life”. (edit: that was a bit too RP-ish. Hopefully message makes sense though) This overlaid with a slow pan of the waiting Illidan followed by a few seconds of the encounter itself and an uncluttered replay of the RP of his death.
The lore in this game is fabricated. So it runs like a tree. Thousands of branches that split off in a hundred thousand different directions. You have to know exactly where you’re going and be careful not to cover too much ground. You should know what you’re saying before you say it. You should have a script that you read and then video that you lay over the top. It’s probably a lot harder than the alternative (random BS recorded over vent as you Fraps your characters running instances), but it’s the only chance you have of turning boring ass lore into something people want to waste half an hour to watch.

You pretty much just covered how I'm doing it, except its not as dry as NG, H, or D channels. They usually use conjecture to keep people interested instead of facts.
