Re: D3 - Firecrest - 06-10-2012 Just shy of 500 resist and Act II is still kicking my ass. Working on getting my Life on Hit up now. I think that'll help a lot. Myndore is going to tell you you're wrong. Re: D3 - CAN - 06-10-2012 i only had about 480 resist when i did act 2. only had to skip one trash pack that was shield/firechains/fast whirlwind guys Re: D3 - myndor - 06-10-2012 what build are u using alyse u should be fine with that res resolve and Crippling Wave w/ Concussion.. u have 70% dmg reduction before res and armor and shit Re: D3 - Firecrest - 06-10-2012 myndor Wrote:what build are u using alyse u should be fine with that resExactly that. I also run the Heal with the DPS increase glyph and the Bubble with the Heal glyph. Also DPS aura, Earth ele and Lashing Tail Kick with the ranged slow glyph. 477 resist, 17k dps, 32k HP and 4.8k armor. I have a solid shield but I haven't been able to get a good 1-hander yet, so I'm 2-handing instead of sword and boarding. I don't think that should be such a serious issue, but mayble that's the problem. Re: D3 - CAN - 06-10-2012 all this nerd crafting i havent even changed skills since like lvl 40 and i dont even know what they are Re: D3 - ArchmageFurly in three days - 06-11-2012 I honestly haven't found earth ele to be that useful, I use blind instead and it really helps. I also use Sweeping Wind with inner storm, as it gives so much spirit and good dmg. Blade storm is technically better but I like to have the extra spirit to spam my mantra. Hand of ytar is meh tbh. You don't really have to kite when you have so much disruption, and all the really hard hitting mobs have long ass, easily avoidable attack animations. Its great for sure, but I think blind and sweeping wind are more flexible. The shield is pretty big, I have one with 7% reduced dmg against elites, add that with the block and armor and you can tank melee hits from almost anything. Re: D3 - Firecrest - 06-11-2012 Once I can get my hands on a decent 1-hander (good god, they're expensive) I'll try out Blind and Sweeping. I do like having the earth ele though as she can often pull 1-3 mobs out of an elite pack and tank them while I handle the rest. She dies after 30 seconds or so of that - but the spirit cost of recasting is practically nothing. Getting beat on by 2-3 elites seems a lot better than eating attacks form 5. We'll see though. I'll definitely give Blind a go and see what happens. Agree about Hand of Ytar though. If I can get my survivability into a good place, I won't have to be running out of combat like a dumfuck all the time and it will become obsolete. Re: D3 - CAN - 06-11-2012 are you even level 60 furly earth ele is pro at tanking bosses Re: D3 - CAN - 06-11-2012 these are my unbuffed stats I had after I beat inferno again, first time I had 18k dps, a lot less hp, and around ~700 resist. I had to skip 6 trash packs, most of which were in the last part of act3. fuck that place I used these runes the whole game. blazing wrath/earth ally/blade storm/hard target/thunderclap/peaceful repose. If I wasn't at risk of losing NV I would've used concussion in act 2 instead of thunderclap
