I don't see how the 45% I used to have will be anywhere near as good as the 17% I'll have in two weeks. Obviously if I had some 50 mill ring with both, I'd keep. But having to pick one or the other for now, IAS will lose.

ok say u do 2.4 atacks per second atm and have 1000loh u are gona heal for 2400 hps
if u drop to 1.4 atacks u drop to 1400 hps u would need an extra 1k loh to heal the for the same
to hit 2400 loh u are gona need 2 weps with 700+ loh and sockets and godly rings
this might be all wrong my brain has been slow all weekend...

ias will still be best in the easy slots, gloves/rings/neck provided they have high dex/other stats
even if you end up with less than half of what you had

To be fair though, I've found that if you just troll for a little bit, you can almost always find what you want for really cheap. Might take a few hours or a day or two, but people always under-value stuff eventually. I could probably sell my current Inferno set for about 40-50 mill. But I've only spent about 8-9 mill total so far (and that includes my 200% MF/GF set). Just this morning, I got a 2mill shield for 250k.
People are constantly under-estimating shit. Less frequent on the good legendaries though. That sucks.

However, assuming you have a 1.4 base weapon, you would need, what, like 75% total IAS to get it to 2.4? That's a minimum of 15% on both rings, gloves, neck AND weapon. You're either putting 200 mill into that gear or you're making some sacrifices to your other stats.

And that's right now. After the patch, your max IAS is going to be 47%. And that's perfection. A reasonable number without spending a small fortune or giving up on your other stats will be more like 30-33% - less than half the 75% you need to add a full attack to your attacks per second.
I understand what you guys are saying. IAS will still be good. But nowhere near what it is now. Which means prices will be nowhere near what they are now.
Eventually I'd love to have a LoH, IAS, Dex, Vit, Resistances ring/neck. But in the meantime, I've sold my blue +Damage/IAS ring and neck (for 100k each) and will sell my other blue Dex/IAS ring as soon as I find a decent replacement. In each of these cases, I had given up potential Vit, LoH and Resistances to get the IAS - after the patch, that will not have been a good trade.
