Re: D3 - Firecrest - 06-24-2012
Re: D3 - Firecrest - 06-25-2012 Having some trouble with Inferno Diablo. I've put in about 12 attempts (each attempt is like 20 minutes long, so it's kinda gay). Phase one and two are easy, but something always goes bad during phase three. Occasionally it's bone prison thing but most often, I just run out of cooldowns when something stupid happens. LoH carries me through his normal hits for the most part, but stuff like 2x Fire Circle and then Breath inside of 15 seonds will kill me. I'm thinking of just kiting him around and only going in for attacks when I have full CDs up. Does anyone know if he has an enrage? Any other ideas would be appreciated too. Re: D3 - CAN - 06-25-2012 as a melee you just stand in everything and afk diablo, earth ally can tank everything, blind can interrupt everything Re: D3 - Regolith - 06-25-2012 Wish i could even get through act 3 w/o getting trucked by elites. Guess i just need just a bit more gear i suppose. Re: D3 - Talith - 06-25-2012 Regolith Wrote:Wish i could even get through act 3 w/o getting trucked by elites. Unlike the DH, Force armor has always given us a chance to build with the least amount of effective hp needed to survive 2 hits and die on the third, its a galss cannon style but those 2 guaranteed survivable hits coupled with skills like illusionist give you a lot of room for error. You can still go this route and maximize dps, execute a Hydra/blizz kite build and just focus on the minimum EHP needed to survive mobs on act 3/4. With the nerf to mob damage this requirements are now even lower, however it supposedly opened a new option, if you do gear for resists you can now switch to Prismatic armor and improve those and start taking hits. Needless to say it is way more inneficient than to gear for force armor, and its gonna be expensive. I can tell you from personal experience that for my current gear Act 1 I dont need energy armor at all, Act 2 using Prismatic armor is far better, Act 3 I'm possibly around the breakpoint, sometimes i feel I get overall better protection with Prismatic (although some big hits will drain me for more than 35% of my hp). I am not yet on act 4 but my guess is that with my current stats I would need to switch to Force again to avoid being one shotted. Actually its possible that for Act 4 using defensive stats you will need to carry a shield. I haven't tried pushing the last quest of Act 3 and Act 4 cause im poor and repairing will be expensive (i have been spending millions upgrading all my gems from squares to stars) Re: D3 - mininolan - 06-25-2012 Firecrest Wrote:Having some trouble with Inferno Diablo. I steamroll Act I in MF gear, steamroll Act II in half MF gear and lose gold at a rate of about 50-75k/hour when doing Act III and IV in my pure set. Act IV is really only complicated by the monster TYPES. While the act in general hits just as hard as Act III, there are a good number of mobs in there that are inhenently fast or strong or can cast fucking meteor. Getting elite Dark Angels, or swarm spiders with molten, or those fucking octopus pounders can suck ass. That said, I didn't find a single one of the bosses post-Ghom to be even a remote challenge and one-shot every one of them (save Diablo, obv). That's a melee standpoint though, of course. So it may not apply to ranged. mininolan Wrote:dont get bone prisonedWas expecting a "boned in prison" joke. Disapoint.
