About WLPH Disband - Aragon - 12-16-2008
This is what I know from other people. I can not directly confirm much of it.
A few seconds before the servers went down for maintenance, someone who had access to Abec's account disbanded the guild.
When the servers came back up, Extracrispy (Sanders' mage) recreated the guild with the same name. if you were previously in the guild and need an invite, please contact someone in guild and ask for an officer to invite.

We assume Abec's account was hijacked due to a leak of account information to a public chat but have not been able to speak directly to Abec about this yet.
The guild bank tabs are lost, but the contents will be mailed to Abec's account in the near future. If this was a real "hack", GM's MIGHT be able to restore bank tabs, but assume we will have to start over.
We also saw that Abec's account had a paid character change where his name and appearance has been changed. Your guess is as good as mine to decide if this was a joke, a hack, or intentionally done.
For more information about Abec's new name, contact someone in guild or check ventrilo if you were a previous active member or above.

Further updates on the situation:
Abec has gotten on vent and explained that someone else abused his past trust by disbanding the guild and changing his character. He has been in touch with Blizzard GM's to attempt a recovery of the guild, bank, tabs, items, ect. This most likely will take weeks to tell us that they can't do anything. Abec also mentioned ordering a Blizzard security token (Authenticator) to ensure future account security.
In the mean time, many active players from WLPH have migrated to the guild <MORGAN FREEMAN> lead by Voke.
Current Officers are: Jackslammer, Thorran, Cahn, Zoia, Milliardoe, Meeks, & Alyse.
Abec (under a new name) is still active and raiding with the guild and the raid schedule has not changed. The long term future of the guild, raiding, guild name, and leadership is still being worked out.

Since the GM ticket was taking too long, Abec decided to move back to WHAR LEWTS PLZ HALp and rebuild. We have yet to see if the GM's will perform any other restoration action on Abec's account or of the guild. They do seem to be working on the ticket's investigation as Abec's account was temporarily closed (and reopened already) in efforts to secure the account and prove ownership.
