Question about ram - Mikaelo - 08-08-2009
Would I see a noticeable improvement if I bought a 512MB stick of ram? I'd be going from 1.5GB to 2GB. My motherboard is pretty old now so it'd be PC3200 ram. Right now I have a 1GB stick and a 512MB stick and I have 2 slots left so I was thinking of getting 2x 256mb dual channel kit of ram since this will be my last ram upgrade for this computer so not really worried about how many slots I have left.
I got a 512MB 9800GT back from my 256MB 7800GTX RMA and my processor is an AMD dual core 4400+ @ 2.6GHz
I'll probably buy a new computer (well atleast most of a computer) around christmas time so I'm not looking to do anything major right now just trying to get a little more juice out of this thing for a couple months. Is it worth it?

NVM ARAGON HELPED ME AND SAID TO JUST BUY ANOTHER 1gb STICK AND RUN THAT IN DUAL CHANNEL AND TAKE THE 512MB OUT BUT SINCE SOME WHORE REPLIED WITH NOTHING RELEVANT I CANT DELETE TOPIC
