I don't understand the whole flag in the plane thing. does each plane fly with a new flag on each mission? that's a fuckload of flags. And to what end? I don't understand the point. Couldn't they take the money spent on flags for planes and spend it on a couple extra rounds instead? seems to me extra stuff to kill people with would be more practical.

There is a new flag for every mission..........the flags are cheap and the pilots pay for them. Its just a nice thing to have. Clearly you are not patriotic and not an American. Its a piece of history from the war. Its a tradition in the pilot community. My grandfather has a flag that was flown with the Enola Gay when she dropped "Little Boy"
