For Kipp, a fellow Pokemon Master- - Sharfalma - 11-26-2009

After a totally hot cyber-date with Abe over the phone, he made it known that you assholes and dick breaths actually care about me, sorta kinda. So I figure I'd update all of you.

I'm 4 months into my 6 month game design apprenticeship/training program, and at this stage I am essentially a member of the team. I do content creation, production assistance, implementation, and story writing. I will be getting brought on full time within the first month or two of the new year. I am absolutely loving it, and this is the best thing that's ever happened in my life bar-M'uru pre-nerf. That being said, I have not had a day off in literally those four months. I am working 7 days a week, pulling 9 hours a day on weekends at my current paying job, and about 30-40 hours a week as a game designer. I spend my fleeting moments in between jobs doing laundry and paying bills.

Additionally, some of you may remember that I essentially live alone in my parents house, because they own their own business a few towns over. They are looking to sell this house and move into a home much closer to their business. As a result, they have asked that I essentially freeze my assets so that I can loan them some money for a down payment on the house, or any other miscellaneous spending that may arise when buying a new home. As such my account, while safe and Blizzard Mobile Authenticator protected, is now inactive.

I still check the forums every day and I love hearing about you guys. I miss the game every day and I miss WLPH every like, week or so. I didn't have the balls to be considered a casual, it's just not in my blood. So rather than farming and fishing and shit, I'd rather just stop playing if I'm not side by side in a HM raid with the rest of you. I'm a whole tier of gear behind and I know I don't have the time to catch up and be an asset in Icecrown, so I don't know if I'll be making any appearances in the quest to absolutely wreck Arthas. As much as it pains me, I know I'm making the right choice here by setting my career and my family's financial stability as my number one priority. I've heard good things about this new shadow priest (Legolas? lololol) and it sounds like he doesn't die to shit, which is what I was good at, too. So that's neat.

TL;DR version is, I love you guys, and I wish I could have been there for Anub HM and for all the crazy server firsts I'm expecting for ICC. Short term I really don't see any way I can come back, but months down the road once my career and living arrangements have been cemented, I will have evenings off, weekends free, high speed internet, and no garage doors to stand in my way. Wink

I am going to be making a WLPH reference somewhere in the game for you guys, and maybe like, a garage door monster or some shit. Maybe a creature will drop an item called "2 Piece Tier 5" or something. I dunno, I'll work on it.
