PTR testing schedule - geng - 03-03-2009
Flame Leviathan (Normal, i.e. 10 Player Mode ONLY) - Tuesday Night, March 3 at 4PM PST (or after the PTR servers come back up) through tomorrow. We want a lot of testing on this, but take note that the Heroic version of this fight should NOT be tested at this time. Players should only form 10 player raids to test this. The Heroic/25 Player version is not properly tuned.
Ignis the Furnace Master - Wednesday night, March 4, starting at 7pm EST/4pm PST.
Hodir - Thursday night, March 5, starting at 7pm EST/4pm PST

I spent tonight on the PTR studying new spec choices and enjoying some of the new shadow changes. Psychic Horror is truly Godly in power, I honestly expect it to be nerfed before 3.1 hits. I could have gone to Ulduar but I don't know how raid ID's work on PTR and I didn't want to lock myself out if we decide to go later this week.
On that note, I'm honestly really disappointed in everyone's apparent lack of motivation or drive to get into the PTR. I played around right next to Ulduar for over an hour tonight, with no crashes or server instability. There was a single server restart earlier in the night but Ulduar has been up ever since. The fact that we aren't in there really bums me out. I really can't validate logging in on tuesdays to shard 90% of the loot and really just go through the motions for 3 hours. We don't even seem to have fun in Vent anymore, it's all just so....blah. So we finally have a chance to explore new content and what do we do? Ignore it. It really baffles me.

i think the lack of motivation is a combination of 3000 ques server instability and 1 day raiding for months

I was all for testing the content... not because I really wanted to "test" it, so much as I wanted us to have a leg up on the competition when 3.1 goes live.
There are already numerous strats and videos available for the content we have access to, none of the fights opened so far seem like they will be overly difficult. Granted, any raider worth their salt knows that first hand experience is better than strats/videos, but this isnt sunwell shit. In fact, from what Ive seen thus far... I dont think it even looks as challenging as BT. (I hope Blizz proves me wrong)
In any case the massive ptr server problems, in conjunction with the fact that Blizz is not opening up the whole instance (to prevent exactly what I wanted to go there for in the first place) has really driven me to not give a shit. If anyone wants to go to the trouble of organizing a 10/25 man group to try some of the encounters, Im all for it... but at this point I dont think anyone has enough interest.
