Lorake: SF4AE - abecx - 09-12-2011
I bought this, I need to figure out what controller to buy, I know you listed something in the past, is it still the best?
I have nothing but contempt for my madcatz controller.

Either get the Mad catz TE or a Hori RAP VX. If you get the XBox version it will work on PC as well.
Honestly I suggest the Mad catz TE. Most the top players use them.
Me, I use this:

I have the madkatz te and it has so much ghosting and fading on it, i've bought two of them and they've both had it, and when i look it up online its a common problem, I dont want to buy a third and have the same issue ( they didnt use washers and the metal rubs agasint the breadboard and fucks up the paths ).
When i use training mode and try and practice, you should see all the bullshit moves that it thinks I've inputed even though i just hit down.

That's an issue with SFIV and not your stick though. SFIV has 'easy inputs' so you could do a DP by doing Down-Forward Down-Forward twice. You really have to control yourself when you play on the stick in that game. I've used plenty of TEs before and I can say I don't notice a thing when I'm playing on other games.
Or just resort to charge characters. No way to easy input that BS.
Or just get the HORI stick. It's the other legitimate stick maker out there.
Re: Lorake: SF4AE - abecx - 09-13-2011
do you know if the Arcade Edition has this easy mode inputs?
Its hard to break habits like doing forward -> down -> down forward for me.
Also, I heard AE is more offense oriented than the previous two, I kinda wanted to play Shin Daigo.
