Firefall - jackslammer - 05-04-2012
I don't know of anybody in the beta and most people haven't even heard of this game, but if you like MMOs and games like Planetside, TF2, Tribes, etc. then this game should be at the top of your list. I've been following this MMO FPS game for about a year and received a beta key earlier this week and have been playing it non-stop and I am thoroughly impressed. The development team behind Firefall has some serious pedigree. There are members of the original development team from Tribes and a former team lead from World of Warcraft. I think it’s safe to say they know how to make a fun and engaging game. Not to mention the story is written by Orson Scott Card who is a science fiction writer and is known for the award-winning fictions Ender's Game and Speaker for the Dead.
It's still in closed beta and will be for at least six more months, they lifted the NDA last month and announced they'll be keeping servers up 24/7, and it'd be nice to get some WLPH going on in Firefall. If you know of ways to get beta keys, get one for Firefall!

Also this is the first MMO I've played that actually does night and day cycles well. Firstly night and day are like 4-6 hour cycles and secondly night time is actually dark! Everybody get a flashlight though.

all that says is "all other Free to play MMO's got it wrong, we won't get it wrong." ...
I'd rather pay the monthly TBH, and if they are afraid of losing customers, then just make the monthly a flat $5, that way no1 can complain, and they still get a little bit of monay, because not everyone is going to spend monay on it anyhow....
They could also add Jessica Alba's ass from that deep blue movie.... all would be forgiven if they did.
I'm still going to look for a beta key though.
Also, the chick on the phone with me right now is listening to some pissed off reverend talk about children and god.
