abecx Wrote:WWS isnt a very good baseline, its not that hard to forge or skew numbers. I agree, but it still is the best indicator we have of player's performance as long as they aren't dying to stupid shit that WWS doesn't show.

judging light on patchwerk is fucking stupid because it heals the melee and they have to run to the green shit again, and then run back in. We say DONT HEAL THE MELEE for a reason genius.

mascaron Wrote:Alyse was judging light.. Alyse misclicked on his macro on accident instead of Judge Wis. If I remember correctly (too lazy to look), I judged three times (to keep up my JotP). Two were JoW and one (the first) I reflex clicked my /assist /cast JoL macro.
If I'd been trying to keep JoL up, there would have been a lot more Judgements as it only lasts 20 seconds.

k. Never claimed I was a genius. Merely pointed out that it worked well for that guild, as nobody died (including their melee), and it still healed the tanks significantly. You can't really deny that.
Again, not saying I'm the best ever, merely trying to defend our dps as a whole against illegitimate accusations. I agree with you when you say "p.s. I'm perfectly fine with where we are at" as I said that prior to your post as well It's just that Jackslammer apparently is not.

I'm satisified with where we are at as well. I just know we have the gear, heals, and tanks to get top WWS but DPS is what determines the WWS rank. I may have jumped to a conculsion too quickly when I claimed player's researching and motivation was why some people aren't performing up to par but I expect more out of our DPS and know they are capable of more.

Moonkin wont knock someones dps up from 2k to just under 4k. Looking for ways to exploit the game to get a druid doing 11k dps is stupid, go try that elsewhere. Dead dps = no dps and that has and still is a very common problem, from standing where you're not supposed to be, to pulling threat, to just being an idiot. 2k to 4k, no, not happening. 4500 to 5000, easily. Thorran did 5k on Patchwerk two weeks ago, and 4500 this week. This week he didn't have Feral/Windfury. No, group buffs won't make our dps do the same as those people, but it'll help to close the gap.
Agreed on the dead dps bit, void zones r srs bsns.
Also what Cahn said. Having ~5% lower crit than what you're supposed to do=gey.
