That just made me hard.
Also, while I'm sure it seems like a bit of a cop-out, don't be too reliant on WWS for accuracy. It really hasn't been updated since 3.0.2, and the guys who run it really just don't care anymore. I'm going to start uploading logs to WWS and wowmeteronline and letting the guild see/decide on which they like more.

A raid spot.
Re: @ROOTBEAR - lawlerbation the hardcore squatter - 12-06-2008
but we use 3 tanks on patchwerk so shouldnt we be able to judge light?
Re: @ROOTBEAR - jackslammer - 12-06-2008
Hateful Strike
Judgement of Light
Judgement of Light is such a minute amount of guaranteed over healing for a tank being spammed by Holy Lights and Greater Heals that you're achieving nothing but higher HPS healing melee and risking their death in the case the tanks aren't topped off quickly enough.
Absolutely no reason to ever judge light on Patchwerk. I can't believe I have to explain this, I hope you guys were kidding or I'm missing something :?

Highest threatening target with the most health, not, highest health target.

Don't we use 3 tanks on PW?
Re: @ROOTBEAR - mascaron - 12-07-2008
okay, soo it stillll did some effective healing.. I think it would be stupidly easy to argue the point that they might as well put it up to ensure the tank didn't die. If you look, one of their holy paly's holy light is 95% overheal, and their JoL is 95% overheal as well... I would imagine they could do considerably more healing without it.. but i mean, if it's not killing people (aka the tanks have superior gear with lots of stam.. which goes back to the gear issue) then what is the harm? You've said yourself that paladins overheal ALOT.. better to be safe than sorry... plus I would imagine they weren't even close to oom....
Have you talked to them? Myself, I make it a point to talk to good players on other realms and talk to them about why they do what they do. I found a lot of bullshit on the warlock forums or just information that wasn't updated... I went to locks doing 5k+ dps and asked them what they were doing, a solid rotation, other questions blah blah blah.. from what I've gained from them and what they've told me, it's basically a gear issue at this point.
Oh, and I was being serious about JoL.. nobody died, and I highly doubt the healers were close to oom, unless you have evidence otherwise judging from wws or asking them personally.
Edit: if healers aren't able to keep tanks above the hp of melee dps, doesn't that say something about the healers and or tanks? lol. Again, their guild was able to do use JoL just fine.. either their tanks had better gear or their healers were better at keeping tanks up.. w/e.
Re: @ROOTBEAR - jackslammer - 12-07-2008
I guess every strategy and tooltip I've read I misunderstood, hateful strike is based off top three threat in melee range, but HP determines which of the three other than the MT gets hit.
If that is the case I will be judging light next week and seeing how it works.
Only pallys I've ever talked to outside of Nathrezim are Aus of Vis Maior, Hevens of Saga, and Tilsetiv of Saga and of course the forums and I've posted on EJ numerous times.
