Ive said it before and I'll say it again... too many class leaders, by far. Obviously a huge number of the CL rank is filled by officer alts. At the same time, people are getting and have been promoted to a rank with O-chat privilege at a break neck pace recently and a lot of them genuinely don't need to be there. Frankly a good number of them probably dont even really deserve to be there. Having a higher rank is a nice recognition for a job well done, but its distorting any clear line of authority.
With 300 members I don't blame anyone (or should I say Abec
)for not wanting to sort that shit out... however, I will flat out volunteer to do it if it means it will get done. I would suggest something to this effect.
SCRUB - the bads
Friends/Family - for actual friends and family
TRIAL - trails obv
MEMBER - former raiders, casual raiders, long time non raiding members, etc
RAID MEMBER - standard raider
CORE RAIDER - raider recognized for outstanding performance/dedication
CL/OFFICER ALT - Providing CLs and Officers access to O chat on their alts
CLASS LEADER - Class leaders, one per class (possibly per spec, hybrids only)
OFFICER - Individuals of dedication who Abec trusts to represent this level of authority
CO-GMs - Abec's lackeys, providers of lower back massage, bringers of glassed water and painkillers
GM - ABEC
Only officers and higer will have invite, promote/demote, gmotd, notes privilege
Straight up Abe... I'll do it and save you the hassle. When its said and done guild ranks will make sense, people will know where to send recruits, issues, loose vaginas, etc. You will breathe a sigh of relief at not having to do it yourself and thank me when its over with. The offer is on the table.
Some people might bitch and moan about having O-chat removed. Im not even suggesting I may not fall into this category. So be it, no one is going to rage quit over it. If they do, they didnt deserve the recognition in the first place. It needs to be done.
