Point is I'm not hoarding my dkp I'm just waiting for the best upgrades to drop.

This would be the exact definition of hoarding DKP, ya git. If it's an upgrade, ROLL. If it's a fucking sidegrade, you should be seriously considering it in case you start moving stats around with your other gear or there are nerfs or changes to your preferred stats in the future.

Why the hell not? This is a serious question that I really want to see you answer. I want you to explain why you're skipping out on gear that's pretty much an entire tier's worth of strict upgrade. Especially given the fact that we have two tiers worth of DKP specifically for this very reason.

The reason is cheap I know, but its that I don't wanna spend 2k on Gems and enchants and 350 badges for probably not even a 200 dps increase. I fucking hate playing combat, so for 2 fights (Twins also to help which wasn't asked of me but I still do because I'm not a monday) that's not a problem anymore it's a waste in my opinion. I'm doing my job perfectly fine and staying high on dps while MD'ing adds without screwing up.

That is a cheap reason. Especially when many other people in the guild are blowing DKP and gem/enchant gold on two or three different specs.

If we need to talk about charging offspec prices for some pieces of gear for Rogues, let me know and we can talk about it. We are not a super hardcore raiding guild. We're not going to ask you to use elixirs when flasks will do. We provide free unlimited repairs and things like Frost Pots for fights. So I feel that asking people to spend their DKP and their gold on gear that is useful for nearly half of the most current content is a fair requirement.

And I feel that asking you to spend you DKP on any gear that drops that is even the slightest upgrade should be a fucking given.

It's not a huge deal right now with the ease of content, but this kinda shit will not fly in Icecrown. Abe has already told everyone one that we want to ramp it up a notch and make IC our best patch ever. In my mind, that makes it my responsibility to make sure that the guild as a whole is not being held back by DKP. That means making changes to the system as needed as well as coming down hard on people who abuse it.
