I’m not normally the tinfoil hat type, but I see how people can get that feeling. So much of what they’ve done lately has worked to get gold OUT of the system. Increased repair costs, a FIFTEEN percent AH transaction fee (why hasn’t there been more gripe about this? It’s three times higher than WoW’s). Even the only way left to farm (5 stacks NV, kill Elites) is item rich and gold poor - the perfect storm for RMAH useage.

There’s very few super obvious gold sinks in game though. High level gems and Pony Stick are really the only two I can think of. It’ll be pretty telling if they start coming out with a lot more such things.
