Correct. This is my self-buffed hit gear, and yes quite obviously +hit needs to be sacrificed if I'm in a stacked raid. ATM this gear is all I have being away from the game for so long. I've done a few bosses in TOTC25 but haven't focused on pugging much. As for the AOE statement, Flamestrike is a part of the optimal rotation as well. If asked, I can spec into Ice Shards, but if it's going to be an AOE fight I usually just dual-spec to my frost build. However as stated I'll do what is asked of me.
I fully expect for your raids to be buffed with +hit.
I'll spec into IA for any gimmick fights, I always have.
