From reading your app at first it seemed to me you were at least halfway competent, a Furly imitation almost, but after looking at your amrory it's clear that you don't really understand your class.

1.) Talisman of Ressurgance > Never-melting Ice crystal by alot, and it's very easy to get. Those badges you wasted on the t9 chest which is a terrible piece should ahve been spent on the trinket.

2.) Your gems are wrong. Move the JC gems in your legs to somwhere else, and get the socket bonus by using 2 reckless ametrines instead. Yo only need 2 blue gems, and a 5 sp bonus doesn't make purified gems ebtter than runed cardinal rubies, switch out one in your wrist or boots. Your neck should have a rckless gem in it because 5 sp bonus does make a reckless ametrine better than a runed cardinal ruby.

3.) Your Arcane spec is wrong. Sotm is a terrible talent to start with, even worse when you lose the t9 bonus. In a raid filled with Orange Maces and disc priests, and so many fights where you're warding in icc, 2 points in incanter's absorption and maxing out your range will yield you a higher damage output and utility. The spec you're using will give you higher damage on a patchwork fight, but that's not what we care about. You claim to read EJ, but the fact I just told you has been repeated countless times in the Arcane Thread. If you're gonna research, that means more than just looking at the first post on the thread.

4.) Frost is fun, but useless, every other crit and replenishment class does much more dps, as well as other bonus' a Frost mage doesn't give.

5.) Achievement wise, you're missing the hardest of Ulduar HM's, 10 man heroic totc, and you haven't even completed 25 man totc regular. This is an issue with a guild that is likely going to pull server firsts on hardmodes in ICC. We don't even do 25 man regular anymore.

I may have soudned a bit harsh, but the reality is that your character doesn't reflect the knowledge and experiance you claim to have. Take what I've told you and look to improve yourself. Run one of the pugs, the zoia one for example, where you can be observed. We're looking to reduce our ammount of mages anyways, and we have...idk how many actually but more than we have raid spots for atm.

Edit: I was posting this as you responded to lorake. On fights where AOE is really really essential and important you'll be respeccing away from arcane, hence the reason, lorake, ice shards isn't as big as the chance to restore mana.

And Flamestrike has too small of a radius, too low of a dpm trade-off to be worth it for arcane.

And the aoe rotation for an FFB spec depends on the number of targers since you'll be lbing them all, but for let's say 5 as it is on anub, LB the adds as they run in, FS9, FS8, Blizzard, FS9, FS8, Blizzard.

As I said, I've only been back to the game for a few days now. I've had barely enough time to scrap any real build or gearset together. Being exposed to players such as yourself is just what I need to get back to my full potential. Thanks for the criticism, but it was nothing I didn't already plan on fixing. I optimize when I can. I was just hoping my knowledge would get me in before I really started working on performance. I just need time to gear myself.
