here is how you fix education in the us

1) adopt the metric system
2) teach evolution since it is as much a theory as gravity is
3) respect the first amendment and disestablish all religion
4) fuck censorship up its ass
5) profit

6.) Make Rousseau and Thoreau mandatory so that people can actually make an informed decision as to their position in "Individual vs Society". A further extension of this would to make a class focused entirly on this subject, which alot of colleges have, mandatory earlier in our schooling.
7.) Execute Glenn Beck; I think the guillotine would be appropriate in this case.
