My opinion doesnt matter, but my point was that A.) I wouldn't bring in a trial until actual "farm" content B.) I would get him once over-ed by a credible player of the same class. Getting reliable recruits is a difficult process, even more so with our ritualistic bombardment of applicants.
My only real problem with him was his spec and the statement that makes about him as a competitive dps. Considering our only goal in raids as dps is to make the fights as short as possible seeing some one with a non optimal spec/gems/enchants/glyphs is infuriating. Its the one thing that you can factor in before the boss is even pulled. If you believe he could be a decent raider offer him another trial, hunters arent difficult to play and pretty easy to master in pve.
