In my experience interference with sound hardware is caused by all the wires running to the front panel especially poorly grounded USB connections. Shit like http://img.ebyrcdn.net/6821-149581-800.jpg is just asking for problems, and not your Wizard.

I wasn't trying to talk shit about onboard sound if i made it sound bad. I've been using the same dedicated sound card now for about 6 years, its typically the only component that i carry over.

Who the fuck uses those connectors anyway.
