onigeorge Wrote:Fucking RNG, it's never been my friend. I know my gear is still a little crappy, but being MC'd only 42 times being there almost all night was bullshit , it's almost half the times that the top ppl got. That really took a hit to my overall dmg. Well... I'll try to keep up anyway.
WTB more love from Nef :violin:
You weren't there for alot of the night....of course you're going to have less mcs.
There where two purposes to this thread:
1.) To tell the people claiming they do low damage because of not getting mced (Snowz,Firehawk) that they're actually on the higher end of mcs.
2.) To show people that they are breaking mcs early
Both of these points are there to show that while this fight does have that rng aspect it's not the only reason people are doing low damage, and to stop using it as a fallback. DPS needs to be picked up. I understand that people's "e-peens" are going to make them defend themselves agaisnt any slight threat to their self-image as an amazing player and a badass raider (cough nex cough). I am more than aware of the things that can affect your dps. If I question someone's dps, do you honestly think I had not considered "bad rng on an rng fight" as a reason? If I approach you with suggestions or comments on something, there's a reason for it. I'm aware that I'm not omnipotent and may be wrong, but can we please try and avoid conversations like the one with nex last night? Long Story short, it went like this:
-"Nex your pet is attacking and stunning mc'd people"
Nex: I can't control it I'm mced.
-"Put it on passive and use macros or at least take Gnaw(I think that's the stun) off auto"
Nex: "Okay i just won't use 40% of my damage"
-"What we didn't say that, just control it better"
Nex: Oh you want me to micro manage and click all my pet abilites too? Okay?
-"No....just use macros"
Nex: "Claw isn't even a stun"
-"...what? I just said to take your pet stun off auto if it's too much to ask for you to control your pet properly"
Nex: "It already is off"
-"We just watched it stun people"
Nex: "Tail lash is a stun too"
(At this point I think I actually facepalmed irl)
-"W/e just make sure your pet stun is turned off, and do you honestly even have to argue this point? This could have ended with "okay turned off stun" but you had to argue every little thing"
Nex: "How do you want me to fix something that's off?"
At this point people were asking him why he's unholy anyways blah blah blah. My point is this. Why is everyone so godamn defensive? If you make a mistake, own up to it and don't let it happen again. You don't need to shout over vent trying to convince people you didn't fuck up, that's not getting you anywhere. If you have a valid disagreement it will be listened to, but spouting random bullshit just because someone asked you to fix something? Come on.
