Not sure if I buy what he's selling. While I haven't tried it myself, there is a LOT of anecdotal evedence out there. Tons of screen shots and youtube vids - and even a few live streams. I guess they could all be fake, but that'd be a pretty major feat.

What a mess. I'm trying to remember how much of my gear I bought over the past week and it's pretty much all of it. Even if I got back all the gold, I'm not sure I'd want to go through the process all over again as I spent a lot of time trolling the AH for good deals - just like everyone else, I'm sure.
