Is that the terrible Russell Crowe movie about old navy warships?
I honestly didn't think it was that bad, and at least worth watching once if not repeatedly.
It is a great movie but very slow and decisive direction while being very technical and meticulous; in comparison if Pirates of the Caribbean is an action movie then Master and Command, Far Side of the World, is a fucking documentary.
Lorake Wrote:Pfft, most my movies are actually good movies. O Brother was great, Major League is a classic and Tombstone is a goodie. And Sword of the Stranger is pretty badass for being an anime movie, otherwise it would not have been suggested.
O Brother, Where Art Thou? is a Coen Brothers movie so it's automatically win, but I felt it wasn't up to their standards, still a great flick.
Never seen Major League and I'm not a huge Comedies fan unless it's satirical or Coen Brothers; only other comedies I even own are Road Trip, Old School, and the Hangover.
Tombstone is amazing no doubt, but I'm not a Westerns fan either, or I'd include Sergio Leone films like Once Upon a Time in the West and his Spaghetti Westerns masterpieces especially The Man with No Name trilogy. I'd also include both the original 3:10 to Yuma and remake, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Open Range, True Grit (the only role John Wayne ever won an Oscar for performing), and Unforgiven which I thought was Clint Eastwood flexing his ability as not only an actor but director.
My list lacks Comedies and Westerns, and if you want some good films from those genres I can't offer much.
